Router set up is wrong.
I'm guessing Cisco LinkSys e1500/e2500 Series router?
Commonly the issue with your router (personal expericance) It creates a "Local Host Roundabout" Which doesn't forward your ports properly keeping the server with in the local host.
If you have a Static IP, you're in luck. Just set up your router as an access point. Assign the IP and good to go.
If you have a Dynamic IP, well buddy, you're pretty screwed.
Get a new router. That's what I did, No issues at all not a pain to have to reset Dynamic IP every 12 hours.

thank you for the reply, i went out and bought a asus router. i had a ea2700 and a e2500 lol both had the same issue. hopefully asus will work better.

**Edit**

nope asus still has 66.205.143.214:8653 port is closed

i do have a dynamic ip but it stays static.

try with no-ip, test with its duc software maybe you have dynamic ip in the end.

change the oems to no-ip address?

if you have a dynamic ip then yes, use no-ip combined with duc software so it updates always your ip in case of change.

but no-ip and duc wont matter if port 8653 wont open correct?

If your port is open on your router but your ip is dynamic and changes then it should not be a problem with duc, if you have problem with ports besides ip then check your router and isp about that.

Have you tried testing with DMZ yet?
De-Militarized Zoning means that you are opening up every port to a single destination, hence set it to mac of your comp and it'll open up every port for you to test. If it works, than you have a failed configuration some where. Normally, with an issue like this, I'd like to TeamView to test out a few things to help, but I really don't even have the time any more :/
