Creating a bot via Visual Studio 2012

07/20/2013 14:43 yavuz650#1
I just downloaded the Visual Studio 2012 just because I want to create something with it. I play in private server so I need a bot which will help me to make the stats of an item %100 or any other value I want. The bot will actually do the alchemy instead of me. My question is how can I start?I have enough time and patience for sure. I just need a guide (at least a starting guide). I know there are many guides out there in youtube but they don't actually tell me what I need.

Thank you.

You can start with this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

I'm a beginner too, just like you. I had free time during the summer breaks, so I decided to learn a language and find out how the bots work, but as the school started, I barely had any free time to program, because of the school, training and competitions(so first, make sure you have free time during the school(I assume you go to school), when you want to seriously do something).

1)It's bad to start with big goals like you have: creating an alchemy bot that works for you. It's hard, because it demands understanding of the language you write in and you need to understand the game you're writing yout bot to.
2)You need to find tools and know how to use them (OllyDbg, PhAnalyzer(specifically made for silkroad), CheatEngine(memory reading)).
3)Only few people(and they know what they are doing) actually manage to make a bot and release it.

Not trying to discourage you though... :)

Well, first of all thanks for your reply.I have time for sure. That's why I'm getting started. I gave up the goal about alchemy bot :D. I realized I should start with simple stuff like calculators,mini-games. I'm sure I will get more and more advanced by time.(most probably it will take a really long time) I go to high school. But at college, I will be studing computer science or software engineering or whatever it is called :P. I will be working with these programs already. So why shouldn't I start now? ^^
