Dummy Guide for AccountServer 5065

Ok, I'm not the smartest programmer in the world but i have searched and searcher for a fix or a how to fix the 5065 account server from getting that program must close error. ok well nothing anyone posted worked for me. and i have a day job so how do i get it to work so people can log on if it crashes while i'm gone? here is what i did and for me it works and i will try to answer questions about it and update this to answer the questions and make it better for others who are in my same position.

step 1) i downloaded a program it's a free macro recorder. the name is autohotkey. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

i chose the installer option.

step 2) after i installed the autohotkey program i made a .bat file. i did this by opening notepad and this is what mine looks like:

taskkill /f /im DW20.EXE
taskkill /f /im CoAccountServer.exe
start E:\Lineage2\mycoserver\zfserver\GameServer\CoAccou ntServer.exe

ok what this does for other dummies like me is, it finds the error message in the computers processes the first one is the error message it has to shut that down if it is running or in my experience the new account server it opens will fail to connect cause the old one won't be fully closed.

the next line kills the currant 5065 server process. ok people may ask why this is in there because if you close the error message then there is no need to close the process again but i will explain it later.
the last line of the .bat file opens the account server again. just change it to the location of your account server's AccountServer.exe file.

with that done save it as whatever name u want, just make sure it ends with .bat
now to make it easier for the auto hotkeys to open it i experimented a little bit and found that if you put it in the start menu it is a lot easier for the program to select it than putting it somewhere and haveing the program open all kinds of folders to do it.

step 3) i opened the autohot keys recorder. a window pops up. one of the options is to record. here is where you want to be very accurate in what you do. try to do everything you need to do perfectly and kind of slowly also.
here is what i did.

when i hit record i then waited like 5 seconds then i pressed my keyboards windows button to bring up the start menu. i then clicked on the .bat file i created. the .bat file did what it was supposed to do then when my account server came up i wated like 5 seconds again then i deleted the ip that was there by clicking in the external ip box then useing the backspace key to delete it. after it was deleted i put in my ip address then i clicked start. then i minimized the account server when it connected. then i pressed stop to end the recording.

step 4) in the auto hotkey window it shows u what it recorded. well i found out that the program moves way to fast sometimes and doesn't w8 for the next step long enough so i changed all the instances of wait. example: wait 800 i changed the 800 to like 3000 then i clicked save. and chose a location to save it. and closed the recorder when it was done saving.

step 5) now i opened the auto hot key converter to .exe program and used it to convert the file i saved to a .exe file i found it necessary to enter the capital N/A in the lines like the program suggests. then i converted it.

step 6) i went to my control panel's scheduled tasks and i scheduled the .exe file to run daily. as you continue to go through schedule wizard it gives u the option to open the advanced properties tab when completed i checked that box and finished. when the advance tab came up here are the options i chose i chose to run it every 10 minutes, wake up my computer to run process. run the process for 24 hours i unselected end process if running, i unselected both of the battery boxes and then i clicked apply and save.
this has worked very well for me and was a huge relief when i came home and found that the log in was running and i had more people online than ever. i use windows xp pro and i have found that the auto hotkey program doesn't work well on some computers with vista. i hate vista and i don't know why it has issues. i will probably get flamed for this but like i said this is a dummies fix for it and so hence i use it and it works for me. hope i helped you. any problems i will try to answer them for you. goodluck.

first are you using xp or vista?
second have you tried right clicking the .bat file you created and ran it as admin?
also could you post a copy of your .bat file you created so i can maybe i can see if there is an issue with it.
another thing it could be is that you might not be running the .exe file you created. but are trying to run the .ahk file. if anyone could tell me how to make a video of this process i would be more than happy to try and do it. what ever it takes to help you get it working also. becasue if your like me this has been a huge annoying problem alsmost as bad as the blacksmith breaking the gears, wich thank god i figured that out to.
but in a nutshell what i did was make a .bat file that kills the error message in the tasks
kill the currant 5065 if it's still running
then re opens it
then the macro does enters exactly what you do.
oh one last possiblity if all the other info u have is right then maybe check the text box also on the recorder.

um if the problem is when you converted it to a .exe file then i would not use the log in info for your computer in the converter i would put N/A in both fields in capitol letters.

im using xp and i think .exe and .bat files are working fine and i have tested them so they are not the problem , the problem is i can't add Scheduled Task, have a look:
picture attached
best wishes

ok i think the problem is when u initially set it up it asks you the info for running the task like your administrator password it asks for the password 2 times. i had the same issue at first because i wasn't logged in as the administrator and in the first password place i put my user name and in the confirm i put the pass. i think i got the same error when i did that so try deleting that scheduled task and re-do it but be sure to be logged in as the admin and in both of the fields put in the password that you use to log in your administrator. hope that helps and best wishes to you also.

oh also try this instead of going to the advanced tasks after setting it up goto your control panel and select scheduled tasks then open the task as administrator that should let you access it to change the info. btw have you ran the .exe u made to see if it works as you wanted first? thats important also. i was in the process of trying to make a video and for the first time i encountered problems with it making a script that didn't work like i wanted, i had to try it a few times to get it right. here is a copy of my file b4 i converted it. the main problem i saw was that it added things to the top of the script i didn't want so i compared it to the one i am showing you and and just edited the top part down to where the similarity's started

i'd love to answer your question but "how to make" is a very broad question. try doing as i showed on page 1 of this thread and if you have problems then tell me what they are so that i can help you from there to solve them.
