Where to find Npc names in 5730+ sources or clients which ever contains the ini for it -_-
I searched my npc.ini in both the source and the client but ended up with nothing

In the client, ini -> npc & NpcX

In the source, Open your database and open the npc table.

You ended up with nothing after reading the client's npc.ini file? I'm really confused - how exactly is that possible? (Not trying to sound harsh, but it's a file of npc information, which includes the name of the npc).

I think he searched the file ''npc.ini'' in both folders and found none.

You can still do it server-side if you use the correct flag.

Yup, but you know TQ, they'd rather be stupid than dynamic.

Well my words were confusing forgive my inconvenience ..
I was searching for some already made npcs ... i got their ids from the database
checked npc.cs for their function to make sure about them
then searched their ingame displayed names into all those ini files and ended up with no result
even searched my whole solution and still no result

ex: their is an NPC that has an ingame name of "Change Password"
I couldn't find "Change Password" in any of the ini files or the cs file

Open your client folder, Go into ini subfolder, Open npc.ini then search for ''ChangePassword''.

If it's not there then it's in your database -> npc table. Search for this name in both.

Garedx, the npc.ini uses the meshes as ID.

no luck finding the name in either!

well its going to take you a while ..you can search the Npc that u would like to edit on using its Mesh ... go to navicat / npc table and check the Mesh of the Npc ( by knowing the cords of the Npc and map ID ) you can find it then the Mesh you got / 10

for example .. you found the npc mesh in database = 300 so the Real mesh would be 300 / 10 = 30 .. then go to npc.ini inside ini Folder inside the client then check for this number .. by that you will get the Npc that you would like to edit its name .. then Edit it and save .. Good Luck

my npc table got no "mesh" i guess you mean id though .... but id(s) aren't divisible by 10 and i think sources only deal with integers actually uint type

okay i got it :)
ThanQ u all guys :D

No, not id. Then lookface or model.
