Galaxy gate exploit

today in the darkorbit forum an admin posted this:

Hello Pilots,

We have today fixed a bug that allowed users to receive the rewards for finishing a single Galaxy Gate multiple times in a row.


As the steps to achieve this were quite complicated we are confident that there is no chance of accidentally reproducing this bug so as a result we will be closing down a total of 88 accounts that have taken advantage of this.

I believe the bug was that you switch companies right after you get rewards but before the gate kicks you out. Then you keep going in and receiving rewards and keep repeating. I am not positive that this is how the bug worked and what not. But whatever it was, got people banned and is now fixed lol :rolleyes:

That's what happens when people release bugs. It's their fault really.

If people's find out bug and use it, it's their own risk and own fault to get ban!

No,it's BugPoint's fault.
As i recall darkorbit is alpha client,isn't it?
So if a person accidently finds a bug a loophole in their product it's not the person's fault for taking advantage of it is it?
It's like when the lawyers do the same just with the law,his client gets released and wuithout any punishment even if he was guilty :)

If i remember correctly it says somewhere that if a player finds a bug he must immediately contact support(report it anyway). Any bug users found will be punished ... or something like that. ;)

So if you use a bug but you're not caught, you won't be banned? => The banning is manually and the system has nothing to do with this? It sounds like this for me. What about you?

If u bot and you are not caught you won't be banned. It's the same with bug abusing.

i think there more u have to do for it to be accident2

alpha client that is 6 years old ok then ... think bigpoint lawyers get paid more for such a msistake2

And why don't BP aske themselves why don't player report the bug?
CUZ THE GAME IS PAY 2 WIN and plus do i get any reward for reporting? NO
Can i get uri by NOT botting or buying it? NO
they need to aske themselfes something before doing crazy shit..
