Last but not least, Infernos will spawn the Jack O’Lantern which, once sunk will give players all three types of Essences. All players who cause damage against the Minions will receive 2 Brothers in Arms. However, no player can own more than 10 of this item so if you already have the full amount of them, you will not get any more. How can I get hold of the 4 Event Ship deisgns? The 4 Event Ship Designs can only be obtained by using the Essences gained throughout the event. There are three different Essences, Pumpkins, Spiders and Bones. Depending on the ship designs, different quantities of these three currencies can be cashed in. Not all of the designs will be available instantly so you will have to wait a few days before you can cash in your first lot of Essences for some of the designs. You can see how many of each item you need in the Black Market page in the game. How can I get the Essences? Once you have sunk the minions, you might be lucky enough to be rewarded with some of the Essences. Different minions will give out different Essences! The Essences dropped will be distributed as a proportion of how much damage you caused against the minion. Also, an additional amount will be given to the player who makes the last shot against the minion. How can I get the Pumpkin Festival Pets? The Pets can be purchased in the Black Market for Essences. What are the Pumpkin Chests and how can I open them? The Pumpkin Chests are dropped by the main NPCs once they have been sunk and can be opened using the special Pumpkin Chest Keys which can be purchased in the Black Market for pearls or in the payment section. What ammunition types do I have to use during this event? All NPCs must be sunk with pearl ammo. Pumpkin Ammo will be available during the Pumpkin Festival. If you use Pumpkin Ammo against the Event NPCs it will cause double damage. It will also give you double ELP points. Pumpkin Ammo doubles the Base Damage of the ship, not the total damage. Therefore, all additional buffs a ship might have are added on afterwards. What happens if I have any Essences left at the end of the event? If you have any Essences left at the end of the event if will be replaced by other in game items. Sinking the Minions will give a pearl reward depending on how much damage you have caused and some crystals for the player who makes the last shot. How can I get the Columbus Ship Designs? If you make the most damage or the last shot against the Columbus NPCs you will get the corresponding ship design no matter what map you are on. If you already have this design, you will get a pearl alternative reward unless you sink the NPC out of your level range. Therefore, If you are a level: 7-10 player and you sink the Veteran Columbus or are a level 11-20 player and sink either the Seasoned Columbus or the Veteran Columbus you will only get gold as an alternative reward if you already have that ship design. NOTE: You can still win the ship design if you are outside the level range so there is a chance you could win all 3 designs! What bonuses do the ship designs have? The 3 ship designs have the following bonuses: Veteran Columbus has 10,000 extra Hit Points and 10% extra Harpoon Damage. Jaques Paris: requires elite ammunition, with the treasure going to the final hit. Papa Antonio: requires pearl ammunition. The player who makes the last shot and the most damage against Papa Antonio will get an extra item such as ammo or skyfires. Madame Zhutu is a minion which will spawn after Papa Antonio gets more damaged, also requires pearl ammunition. If you make the last shot against Madame Zhutu you will be rewarded with some Radiant Souls! Wreckages: can be hit using all types of harpoons. All foes promise rich prizes: Jaques Paris specializes in cursed souls, while Maria transports both cursed souls and numerous useful items on her ship. And don't neglect the wreckages, since they contain both numerous items and the radiant souls. What other exciting items are out there to be found? Whilst being the Marauder, you need to reach certain milestones to gain the points. At the end of each day, the player gets the Battle Points according to the milestone he has reached. Once you reach the full 200 for that day, you are unable to become the Marauder again that day.

The amount of tickets you receive will be shared accordingly depending on how much damage you cause. The player who makes the last shot will also get an additional 10 tickets. To shoot the Paperboy NPC you can also use gold ammo, though it will give out a smaller reward compared to the Postman. Only the player who causes the most amount of damage will get tickets from the Paperboy. Hexed tickets can only be gained from the Soul Items area. These tickets are required on top of the usual amount of normal tickets required if you want to play the Hexed versions of the mini-games (read more about them below). The Hexed versions of the mini-games have additional features which make it easier for you to achieve a better result. Will there be a change to the daily log in bonus? Yes! During the Carnival of Souls event there will be a new login bonus. The items you can get from the event log-in are different to the usual daily log-in items. You will get Hailstorm, Confetti Ammo and Tickets. If you don’t log-in one day the item you get from the event log-in will be set to the beginning again. In addition, for every consecutive day you log in, your bonus buff on both the Cursed and Radiant Souls you can collect will increase. Therefore, logging in on day 1 you will get 2% extra on the event currency payout. On the 2nd day you will get 4% extra, on the 3rd day you will get 6% and on the 4th day you will get 10% extra! How else can I obtain tickets to participate in the mini games? Items such as Confetti and Voodoo Ammo, Amulets and 60-pounder cannons can be found in the special Event Chests which can be opened with Event Keys, purchasable in the Market Cove under Event Items. In addition, every Event Chest contains 5 normal tickets. Once you have gained some tickets, make your way to the Carnival Assistants. These quest givers are located in fixed positions on the PvE maps 1/1, 1/2 and 1/3. When you get near them, click on them to find out more about the different mini-games. Each assistant will give you information about one of the mini-games. Each Assistant provides access to one specific mini-game Will there be anything else on the sea? Event Shipwrecks can be found on the Seafight seas – they contain items such as Tickets, Confetti Ammo, Amulets, Hailstorm and Windstorm. The Mini-Games Once you have gained tickets you can select the game you would like to play by visiting the Carnival Assistants. There are 3 mini-games, each with a training version, a normal version and a hexed version. The training version is for practice only and requires no tickets to play; The training version does not give you any rewards or high scores! The normal tickets allow you to access the normal version of the mini-games whereas an additional hexed ticket on top of the normal ticket amount allows you to access the hexed versions of the games (which enable you to get a better final score). In order to get some Souls you will need to achieve an “Acceptable”, “Outstanding” or “Perfect” score. The better the final score you get in the mini-games, the more Cursed and Radiant Souls you will win. A “Perfect” result will provide you with a Radiant Soul. The 3 mini-games are as follows: The High Striker Once you select this game, you will be transported to the High Striker map. The goal of the High Striker game is to complete as many waves as possible in the given time. On this map there will be 5 waves of Lucas NPCs, each with an increasing amount of Hit-Points which can only be shot using Hollow ammunition. The Lucas NPCs has an increased chance of getting hit and takes an increased amount of damage – therefore the Hollow ammo will be far more effective than usual! In the first wave, 5 Lucas NPCs will spawn; in the second wave 4 will spawn and so on until you reach the fifth wave when only one Lucas NPC will spawn. If you use a hexed ticket to join the hexed version of the High Striker map, you will see an additional buoy, around which a buff zone will spawn. You can move the buoy around the map by hitting it around the sea chart. Once the buoy is left in position, a buff zone will spawn around it. If you shoot the NPCs from the buff zone you will cause even more damage to help you try and achieve a better final score. This game lasts 3 minutes and as soon as the time is up, you will be transported back to where you previously were on the main map. The more damage you do, the more Souls you will win. Skyfires will be disabled for all mini-games. Speed Racer Once you select this game, you will be transported to the Speed Racer map. The goal of the Speed Racer Map is to complete the race as quickly as possible. On this map there will be a race track created from islands, compass needles directing you which way to go and checkpoints which you must sail through. You must sail around the race track as fast as you can and complete it in the quickest time possible. There will be NPCs on the side of the track, which will fire at you if you get too close! In the normal version of the Speed Racer there are Slow Zones. If you use a hexed ticket to join the hexed version of the Speed Racer map, you will see additional speed and slow zones which could help or hinder your time. If you sail into a speed zone you will gain a few second speed buff, however if you sail into a slow zone you will be slowed down for a few seconds. By avoiding the slow zones and sailing into the speed zones, you will have a much greater chance of getting a better final score. As soon as you have either completed the race or the 5 minutes is up you will be transported back to where you previously were on the main map. The faster you go around the track, the more Souls you will win. Shepherd’s Game? Once you select this game, you will be transported to the Shepherd’s Game map. The goal of the Shepherd’s Game is to herd as many NPCs as possible in the given time. On this map you will see an NPC and a zone. Your task is to herd the NPC into the zone, after which the NPC will disappear. Once you have herded an NPC a new NPC and buff zone will appear for you to continue herding. If you use a hexed ticket to join the hexed version of the Shepherd’s Game map, you will see additional zones. In between herding NPCs, you will see another zone which you have to sail into yourself. This will give you an additional point before having to herd the next NPC into another zone. These additional points will help you achieve a better final score. This game lasts 3 minutes and as soon as the time is up you will be transported back to where you previously were on the main map. The more NPCs you herd into the zones, the more Souls you will win. What can I do with the Souls I’ve won? You can exchange the Souls you have won for items in the Event Shop. In the second phase of the event, more items will be introduced into the shop including some that will help you in the mini-games. What will happen at the end of the event? At the end of the event your leftover souls will be exchanged for Skyfire Explosions and your event keys will be replaced with normal chest keys. Please note that unused tickets will not be exchanged. The Carnival Assistants and Login Bonus will run until 25th August, so that players with left-over tickets can use them in the Mini-Games. The Postman, Paperboy, Shipwrecks and Event Chests will stop spawning from 12 noon on 24th August (CEST). 2nd Phase of the Carnival of Souls Event What are the Dirty Tricks? The Dirty Tricks are special items that can only be used on the mini-game maps and will greatly help you to achieve a “Perfect” score. There are 3 different Dirty Trick items specifically designed to help you in the 3 mini-games. Woodworms give you more damage which is ideal for High Striker. Woodworms work only if you are in the damage buff zone in the High Striker game. Tailwind gives you a speed burst, perfect for Speed Racer. When used, Tailwind will reduce the length of time your ship is slowed down for when sailing through the slow zones and will also increase the length of time of your speed buff when sailing through a speed zone. What ship designs are available? There are two new ship designs available – a low level ship design (Soul Noble) and a high level ship design (Soul Royal). The low level ship design can be gained by trading your Cursed Souls whereas the high level ship design can be gained by trading a mix of Cursed and Radiant Souls. Soul Noble will give you up to 8% more damage as well as up to 25,000 Hit Points and 17,500 Voodoo Points depending on your Elite Level. Soul Royal will give you up to 15% more damage as well as up to 83,000 Hit Points and 35,000 Voodoo Points depending on your Elite Level. Both ships will also give you 10% extra harpoon damage no matter what Elite Level you have. What pets are available? There are two new pets available – a low level pet (Mo-Ling) and a high level pet (Mo-Long). Mo-Ling can be gained by trading your Cursed Souls whereas Mo-Long can be gained by trading a mix of your Cursed and Radiant Souls. What is the Marauder Item One of the best ways of getting a lot of Battle Points is by picking up the Marauder Item and therefore becoming the Marauder. Whilst you are the Marauder, you are rewarded for sinking other players in the row without getting sunk yourself. The Marauder Item could spawn on any of the PvP maps, with a maximum amount of 4 spawning at any time. When you pick up the Marauder Item, the other players will be notified where you are by the mouse-over text on the event ticker. What benefit do I get for being the Marauder? If you are currently the Marauder, you will cause 50% more damage against other players. However, you will receive 1% more damage from other players for each 4 extra Battle Points you have gained whilst being the Marauder. For example: If you have picked up 50 Battle Points whilst being the Marauder, you will receive 12.5% more damage against you. You are only able to be the Marauder for 1 hour, after which the item will re-spawn once again. How many points can I get whilst being the Marauder? You can get up to 200 extra Battle Points per day whilst being the Marauder which is tracked in the meter displayed in the Event ticker. Whilst being the Marauder, you need to reach certain milestones to gain the points. At the end of each day, the player gets the Battle Points according to the milestone he has reached. Once you reach the full 200 for that day, you are unable to become the Marauder again that day.
