[Pk2] adding new skills

06/17/2013 00:55 Br.Abdelfattah#1
Hello!

Today i'm working on an old client (old school client) , i'm trying to add new skills (it's lv 70 skills) and i'm adding lv 90 skills
I edit sro_client to let skills lv 90 appear perfect,
and import the new skilldata to media pk2 (also the icons of the skills)

I need to know what else i need to import to media (and data and Particles pk2) to make the skills work perfect (i'm done at server side)
Cuz when i try to use the new skills the client crash

And thanks for help

The skills animation (data.pk2 .ban files) and the skills effect (particles .efp files).

Are you also working on oldschool files? :) Im wondering if you managed to add widescreen on oldschool client :/

Its sro_client sided .. Someone already made this shit in crossfire to make the client capable to be re sized with any resolution .. But still, old files got shitload of bugs like globals, etc.

I'm doing my best now to fix dupe bug and work also at client side (to make a small and light client with widescreen and adding some new features)

Actually it's a whole different thing. resolution takes just a few tiny edits and can be done automatically.
take a look:

1920x1080
1920x500
500x1080
600x600
And even multiple monitors wide-screen support such as 3840x1080 (it is actually being displayed on more than one monitor):

All of this took an editing of just a few bytes. not sure if what he needs is SRO_Client editing as I've never looked into it.
but if he does, I'm pretty sure it's much more than the above. besides, he said he got the SRO_Client part covered. he's trying to figure the PK2 part.

Actually, I meant to add this shit list into the sro_client itself. Resizing from any program is just too easy..

That's the point, this is not "just resizing" (try to resize the window, tell me if the same thing happens).
it IS in the client itself. have you even read what I wrote?

In deed, old sro_clients has 800x600 1024x768 1280x720 1920x1080 .. What's your special anyway in this picture?:D

The point in sro_client edit that it should be capable to resize itself with monitor size.

You seem to have missed the point, yet again.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] Weird, You've edited the sro_client or created new injected dll?

As I said, it's SRO_Client.
I'd assume it can be done with injection as well, can't see why not. but that'd be more hassle I guess.
