Coding C#. Where to start?

Hello everyone!

My name is Alex i'm 17 years old. I've read some information about the conquer online servers here on this forum. I had played CO for almost 5 years and now I decided to spend my time on making a Private server to gain some knowlegde about coding, because next year i'm going to follow IT training. Now I've chosen Albetros(from Pro4Never) as basic source to start with, because pretty much in it is done or halfway done, it's playable and not a mess. I can setup the source and everything bla bla bla... but i can't code! I really want to learn how to code, so i was wondering how you guys have learned coding in C# or have tips, sites which helps me to obtain some knowledge to work with C#. Maybe this sound stupid, but I just don't know where to start. There is so much I need to know. So I really want to know what I need to know to code in Albetros.


I'm willing to learn, I'm curious, i have 100% motivation and plenty of time! =D

if you are curious, you wouldn't be waiting for a reply here, what about starting using google? the most common error when ppl start is that they think that C# (or any programing language) is 'fragment' of conquer online... obviously not, so if u learn bit of programming(C# is the most common in co pservers) u can download a public source then start coding with no problems.

You want to start working with C# you say from your title. One advise don't start with Conquer. Unless your really driven.

If you really want to learn C#, I suggest you to look up some starter tutorials on google or simply follow the tutorials here [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] but before you start I suggest to improve your English skills since programming is in english.

@-Shunsui- I had looked up some tuts on google like hello world ect.. Now I want to try CO, just the parts like coding a tourny, NPCs, and some easy features like gemeffects. And try to understand the codes and yeah... from there on getting to more advanced stuff. I will still following tuts on google and in the Summervacation I will follow Java lessons provided by my school.

Yeah i know my english is bad, but im improving it every year. I'll also follow some english classes on my school so I don't really worry about my English Skills.

Well I really want to completely rewrite it all for better understanding and a more in-depth explanation + newer concepts and techniques. I just haven't got the time nor the patience for it xD But some time I probably will.
