Vac will detect this?

Using Cheat Engine I changed the value of r_drawothermodels from 1 to 2.
Will VAC detect this as a hack?
I tryed to play a bot game and a normal match with this "cheat".
Some people said that VAC don't ban instantly but after some time, sometimes after weeks.
I'm risking to be banned for tryed this hack?

If you use it for the first time, than you will not be banned immediately.

But if you use the hack for some time, there will detect it.

I think that it is detected already. Because you are changing registry values and VAC searches after changes in registry like this.

Can I be banned for trying this only one time?

Maybe you are banned in 14 days maybe you are lucky. You should'nt use it anymore and then wait.

Im not really sure about vac. but every anticheat-plugin will ban you instantly.
