A Message to Private Server Developers.

Hey guys.

There is about 10 private servers at the moment. This is causing the players to spread out. The reason a lot of the servers have been made is because some of the developers / gm's had an argument or conflict and decided it would be better to make their own.

At the moment, most developers have very little time to add new features as a lot of their time is used fixing bugs or trying to host events.

What I think developers should try to do is turn over a new leaf and come together as one to make a great private server. Forget the past and accept without each others help nothing will improve in this community.

Maybe your thinking, how does he know this will work ? Just look at the first ever few Archlord private servers. Celestia, Calidus, Infinity. These were all more successful then servers nowadays. Does anyone else remember the great PVP's and fights that were held on Boundary Bridge ? The leveling and PK experience in the Asylum?

At the moment the alternative - Webzen, has disgraced Archlord. When I was younger and my brother introduced me to this game - I loved it. I could not play enough of it. Mainly because it is and probably will be the only game like this for years to come. Now still under 18, I cannot play that strangled version Webzen have made of Archlord because I can't afford WC and I don't have enough friends to help me out there. I want to go to college and not have to waste money on imaginary wings, or pieces of golden paper that give me more slots in my weapons.

Even though, they scam the living f*** out of us, we cannot stop playing because we all love Archlord if we are playing it this long and nothing can stop us doing what we love.

That is why a lot of us have turned towards private servers because we want to be good and still have cash in our pockets. Without a good private server a lot of us will inevitably quit Archlord and I'm sad to say I'm not far away from doing that right now.

So developers, as a request from me and unconditionally from the rest of the community, come together and make a great server. Don't recruit assholes that however good they code, affect the reputation and the status of your server. Hm... - I wonder who that could be.

Some things you should do :
  • Use the current stable to files to add new features
  • Make sure the server you make is stable and online 24/7
  • Host lots of events

The point I'm trying to make is that server activity will rise if you work together. People will come back to the game. With more staff, you will be able to incorporate more new features to the game and we will have a lively forum / community.

Thank you for reading this, hopefully I encouraged you, even if just a bit.

If private server developers agree, but need direction. I know how we can get this started so add me on skype - username : ramesez.36

If you voted, please post why!

Doesn't matter how many private servers there is because the amount of players is so low.

It is impossible, what you want there my friend, because let's face it, I have never heard of collective money hunger just individual money hunger.

Edit: Add a new poll answer: We do not care!

You care enough to answer, and my way of thinking is that if there is more members on a staff, you will have more new updates and features. This will cause more players to start. More players equals more competition and a key factor of it all - people will pay to be the best.

I don't know if you have some personal vendetta against private servers, but I think I can say for all of us that we really could not give a damn on your opinion. If you want to talk about Webzen, go to the Webzen forums.

People play on private servers because they are getting ass kicked on Webzen OR because they want to make a profit! I admit this is a lovely game and I really enjoy it, but since Webzen has released the Episode 9 expansion for the game, the people's expectations concerning private servers have grown to the minimum of episode 3 expansion. Till you will not succeed to build up an emulator for episode 3 of Codemasters there is no chance people will play too much time. They will get bored and return to collect fancy items and return item's on Webzen.

Who agrees agrees who will not it's fine for me too. This problem does not concern me.

That's all.
