16, please do not let my age fool you, for I am considered mature for my age.
What is the reason for your application?
A little backround, that later ties into problems happening now.Back last year, I joined EPVP to leech some cheats for Dark Orbit, so I came here, and made an account, just to get to the download link. The download happened to be one of those "Pay or wait 2 hours" downloads so I hung around the forum to see what it had to offer. While looking around, not only did I find a place to get hacks and cheats, but a place were I was with people that hated Bigpoint for the same reason I did; All of their games giving Wallet Warriors an advantage over people who could not pay.
This made me want to stay with the forum for a couple days, after a YEAR of being with EPVP. There are new problems arising in the Darkorbit Section though. People feel like spamming with unnecessary comments, and spam, very little viruses, due to our current mods.
But, like everyone, they all have lives. I feel as if one more mod, could fill in the gap between when there are no mods online. I am on EPVP almost 24/7, while I'm doing schoolwork I multitask with EPVP, while I'm playing, I multitask with EPVP, I do everything, while checking up on EPVP almost every 5-10 minutes.
I would really like to eliminate all toxic posts, comments, and replies. I feel as if I were moderator, the Darkorbit section could be cleaner, were other mods may not have time, like I do.
Experience with the subject:
I play a ton of MMOs, since I was 7 I started playing MMOs, downloading games, and playing by myself. I am a Beta-Player in many MMOs, and I started playing Darkorbit at a very young age of 8, I may have not known what to do, but I sure did enjoy myself back then. I know Darkorbit inside and out, I also know many things about cheats, hacks, bugs, and bots for Darkorbit. If players need help with such things that I do not have knowledge of, I also know in which direction to guide them in to find the solution to their problems or question.
Are you mentally prepared and fitting for such a position?
I don't see many questions as stupid, and if they do seem to be stupid, I would assure the poster gets a full and complete answer, ASAP from either I or another poster, and close it as soon as possible, so the poster may not get flamed for having a ridiculous question in others eyes. I see myself calm and collective, after a while I may get a little ridiculous, not due to "dumb questions" but from people being ignorant. I never really get to the point when I start getting mad, and it takes a lot to get me to that point. Its a point that an online forum could possibly not reach that point.
Experience as a moderator:
I have been a moderator on games, and websites, and little forums on the websites, but never such a big forum as this one. While moderating for games, I was normally the one that fixed bugs, resolved problems, stopped fighting and spamming, and compensated to players for what a bug may have done. On the website, I edited the website, posted, moderated the forum, and helped people. It was not my website, but a close friend's, and it sold items. I also moderated the forums on the website, got the problem resolved quickly, and fully, no gaps that left the person clueless.
Extras:
I do not know how to code fully, and I am learning, so I do not have any bots or tools out yet, but I can help with keeping the section clean.
Thank you to everyone who votes, no matter your vote, please write WHY you chose yes or no, so I may improve, and some day may after improvement, I could possibly become a moderator.
