[Question] item.edf help

I honestly don't know where to start with editing item.edf for the retail server (Gamescampus). I know somewhat about the Strs and .dat conversion. But I can't seem to make the connect between those two. Thank you in advance, willing to pay if you manage to help me with some client side bugs.

then rune your dateditor

Lol xD, I have gotten past that the only problem is that the text-strings are not present on the right hand side. They show up but they are not converted to actual in game items.

if you edit item.edf basicly nothing happenes. It used to work but not anymore. there are 2 item.edf files ; one in server and one in your client. purifierA.dll and B.dll checks if those files are same or not. If they are not same, server ignores your edited files and runs its own or disconnects you.
Of course there are or were some ways to avoid those DLL's like pasting the files at loading screen right after the cinematic. BTW there are labels of those files when you edit them check if their verions and edit dates are same as original ones. that may help you as well.

I am not quite sure if that works anymore, havent been playing for 2-3 years.
But dont give up trying, most of the cheats came by insane ideas of curious people.
