Money

Aaah yeah~ money. beggars want it, noobs have a hard time getting it. and the rich walk around with glasses.

anyway, the point of this threat is:

What is YOUR way to make money?

think you got the best advice, the fastest method, or just something in between. post it!

think you have a bad way, one that's too hard or takes too long? post it anyway!

so far the commerial style talking, i'll begin this :D

-handicrafting. you might think it's useless but it is a nice way to make money, takes medium time and has a reasonable success rate (60% at rank E + around 10% higher each rank, didn't try this out at rank F). what you have to do is go to ferghus (i chose him because he repairs cheap), buy 1 or 2 "Gathering Axe(s)" and start chopping wood. now grab a handicrafting kit and use the skill, put in 2 "Firewood" to make a(an) "Rolling Pin". full repairs cost 18 gold each for axe you have, and you sell each rolling pin for 256 gold.

yes that's right, my method makes around 1k each 5 minutes, only downside is stamina, it takes a lot of stamina

1.) FISHING
Believe it or not - Fishing is awesome to get money while being AFK. Specially if you do it at certain places. It takes a long time to level your Fishing-Skill up, but it's worth it.

Places where I fish:
- "Aspiring Sailor"-Ship: You have to get the title, but you can get Marine Helmet, Gauntlets, and Boots there. Pretty good.
- Tir Chonaill Lake: I don't fish there very often, but people say it's good.
- Ceo Island: I've been there in a Fishing-Party once, made 600k in one week.

2.) MINING
Most people probably know, hat mining is a good Money-Source: Easy to get, and good to sell!

3.) TAILORING
Never tried, duh.

4.) COOKING
Never tried, duh.

5.) DUNGEON-SPAMING
Coill, Ciar, Rabbie - They are all acceptable, and you can make fast money with them!

Coill
10k Gold each run, I won't say more.

Ciar
Easy run, nice reward, nice drops.

Rabbie
Awesome place to get Mimic Scrolls, 20+ MFS each run!

6.) FOMOR SCROLLS
Depending on which FS you are trying to get, it can cary in Difficulty and Reward. I myself recommend Brown/Red/Black (Grizzly) Bears and Mimic Scrolls: Easy and high-rewarded!

7.) QUESTS/PTJS
Guess you saw that coming. Quest's vary in Difficulty and reward.

I mostly do 1, 2, 5, and 6. Sometimes also 7.

10 Ciar Adv gave me 1-2mil in drops, 300g-1000 from each monster gold kill, luckys 2k-5k Big luckys 7k, Huge luckys 20-30k? Then there's the finest and fine leathers from snakes, dungeon chest end and stamp enchanted items from the golem.

All of this in just 9 Hours on a weekend

Oh another easy thing is buying from shops and reselling, fergie was selling black daggers which are only 1.5k i bought a bag full and sold them for 5k each. Sold out in 15 minutes in dunba. That was... an easy 100k or so but then subtracting the dagger price about 70k in profits

I don't know... I never could get much of ciar int, even if soloing it. The weapon repairs were just too high from that. But Rabbie I could easy solo with a Ice wand and all Ice equips :P
06/09/2009 17:58 cloudkiller2006#9
rabbie is hard >.<'' i can't even solo normal. what do you guys understand by "low level" O_o? and why the ice equips? aren't skeletons weak against fire?

-i'm lvl 56 atm-

Skeletons are easy like hell if you get their Strategy.

Btw, LowLvl is everything under 200, and everything under 500 is normal, 500+ is Pro. At least that's how it goes for me.

But with Lvl 56 you just need to know the Normal Skeletons Strategy.

Simplest way to get money for LowLvl:

- Get Mimic Scrolls
- Do Rabbie Normal
- Collect all Mimic FS
- Relog at the end of the first Floor
- Redo Rabbie Normal
- Collect all Mimic FS
- Relog at the End of the first Floor
- And so on...

care to share the skeletons stategy? :D
06/10/2009 00:01 Dark Raccoon#12
When you get into a Skeleton-Room, don't attack any.

Wait until one of them aggro you, and kill that one.

Then wait for the next one to aggro you, and kill that one.

And so on...

If you do it right, you won't even get hit during the run.

At least that's it for the Normal Skeletons. That's why I recommend LowLvls Rabbie Normal. There are only normal Skeletons and Mimics.

Rabbie Normal sucks... Skeletons, Red Skeletons and Metal Skeletons hardly drop any fomor scrolls. Its all about the Light Armor Skeletons(Red, Metal) Almost every 2nd drops a scroll. So if youre lucky at Orb rooms (hit full), you can walk out with 2 stacks of each kind.(well maybe one of metal) which can get you about 100k a run if you count in the gold drops. This is a good rate for a Low-Mid lvl player. Besides armor and weapon repair won't hit too high.

About Darkies Skeleton strategy:
This might work fine against Skeletons(!), the very regular skeletons, but skeletons with Light Armor tend to attack immediatly after they aggro you. Meaning you kill one and the one right next to you kills you before you can even react. This makes it important to finish them off with Windmill, which resets all aggro and gives you time for defense or counter.
You can completley forget about Heavy Armor and Full Armor skeletons, since they multiaggro. If you therefore want to solo Rabbie Advanced(unlimited) you better have WM r1, Def r1, do ALOT of damage and have a fucking bunch of HP.

back to rabbi normal/basic, what weapons would you guys reccomend?

i currently use:
armor:

Blessed Bloody Lirina's Feather Cap (def 0, prot 0)
Health Leminia's Holy Moon Armor (F) (def 6, prot 2)
the Mist Dire Wolf Wave-patternet Long Boots (No Gloss) (def 1 prot 0)
Siccors Gloves (def 2 prot 1)

weapons:
Snake Bastard Sword/Sustainer Bastard Sword (dual wield, unupgraded, 1 has 100%prof the other has 30% prof)
...the other slot is open for any weapon you guys think is best (i have 15k atm, farming for moar)

Armor: depends on your defense rank, other than that you could as good go naked.
Rabbie is ment to be finished without getting hit, everything else is death.
If unavoidable, try whatever gives you maximum prot, to avoid the insane crits skellies deliver.

As for guns...
If you have final hit go with dagger + gladius.
Other than that use Gladius(fully upgraded for min damage+crit) + any 3-hit weapon of your choice(preferably with huge crit.) Get crit enchants en masse.

I still usually stick with my 2 fully upgraded gladius and equip enchanted for crit.
Rabbie normal I prefer 2 wooden blades tho.
