[!!HOWTO!!] Free sockets

Hey Community,
A little exploit, on how to socket a gem for free!



first of all u need CE (Cheat engine) and select WoW, then go to Elwynn forest and kill some wolves, until you get a Broken Fang :[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...].
Then you do a 4 Byte Scan for 7073 (or the id of the item of your choice).
Now you copy everything expect the green adresses out of the list, into the field on the bottom.

Then you select every adress with ctrl + a and set them to group 1.

After that, you select them all again and freeze them.

So far so good.
Now you go to thottbott.com and search a nice gem. (You won't socket this one, but we'll talk about that later).
The ID of this item is 33131 (just an example u a do it also with every other gem), you go back to Cheat Engine and select all adresses in the bottom field.
Then you right click in the bottom field and select Change Value -> Value.

Now there should pop up a box which asks you for the value you want to change. Insert the ID of your Gem.

If you've done everything right, every value should have changed. Now you can tab back to WoW and look in your backpack!
Tadaaa!!!

Open your character screen and Right-Shift-Click on the Item of your Choice, to open the socket window.
Drag the Socket into the Socketplace and socket it. Now there should be a Socket with +8 Strength!!
Congratz, you changed your Fang into a green Socket.
Now unfreeze everything, delete the list on the bottom, close Cheat Engine and relog.
w000000t it's still there :P

confirmed to work on 2.4.3...dunno maybe it worke on some 3.0.9 servers too

OMG das hatten wir alles schon mit dem ID wechseln etc. Wenn man es verkauft, ist es wiederum das gleiche Item von eben. Bringt nix, hab alles mögliche probiert aber wusste nicht wie und die ganze Zeit bekomm ich nen Error von WoW das ist auch mühsam. Auf den neuen Version geht das Sockeln auch nicht.

Hat früher mal funktioniert mit CE jedes Item bekommen. Ich denke nicht, dass das noch möglich ist.

ja es wechselt sich wenn man das item verkauft aber wenn man das gleich sockelt bleibt es das selbe :P

Naja, habs noch nie getestet auf version 2.4.3 aber auf 3.0.3, 3.0.8, 3.0.9 gings nicht habs getestet.

des ding war schon damals alt als ich zu epvpers gekommen bin ^^ und btw, der sockel ist IMMEr nen +8 str green socket, ne andere option gibts nich, und deine siggi is naja, sagen wir einfach mal man kann NICHT mit wpe alle items bekommen :P

ahjo und auf vielen servern is gbank und talente resetten buggy, da passieren hin und wieder lustige dinge, hatte zb letztens pala t6 helm inner gbank und solche scherze, ich bin da noch am rumspielen :P

Naja Gbank hamse sich wirklich noch nicht ausreichend drum gekümmert, sie haben es leicht bearbeitet als duping mit gbank möglich war aber ich denke auch das dort noch einige Lücken sind ;) Aber wie schon gesagt, du bist hier mitlerweile der Profi ^^

Wenn es das ist, würde ich dir allerdings CE empfehlen^^

Ss wird es nie gehn AUCH nich mit QuestRewards, höchstens mittels votingSystem, server spezifisch halt woll.
Ah und btw es ging auch nie.

und das mit WPE in meiner sig is nich das was ich gepostet habe...das is was anderes und das klappt auch da das bis jetzt noch unbekannt ist geht es auf 2.4.3 und 3.0.9
