A pointer is an address that 'points' to an allocation in memory.
futher explanation...
"say you want to buy a chair, you find a very nice chair at say, location A in the shop.
but you don't have any money, so you come back tomorrow
tomorrow, you find the chair is missing, so you look around, and found it in location B.
but you find that the chair is more exp, so you come back tomorrow again.
next day, you still can't find it, You look around and found it at location C.
but you still don't have enought money, and your now angry.
So you look around for a worker, the guy who move the chair. and then ask him his name.
So the next day, you find for that worker, who will then lead you to the chair.
worker= pointer
Location A/B/C= addresses. "
