Default [Guide] Honor Rank 10 without TG
Introduction:
If you're like me and you dislike TG, but would still like a decently fast way of gaining honor, you should find this guide to be a suitable, much faster and easier way. However, it does not come for free.
Requirements:
1. A friend or a second account/computer which can finish FT1 in a decent amount of time.
2. Warp ability (be it from premium or Blessing Bead Plus) for faster development.
3. Level 115 or above.
4. Muster Card: FT1 entries.
5. Currency. Alz or Cabal Cash.
6. Common sense.
How does it work?
The process is quite simple and I'm sure many players already know of it, however, I could not find an in depth guide to this strategy. Thus one can ascertain that this way either isn't documented or not well known.
Let's get right into it then.
They key ingredients here are Plates of Glory VI. They require you to kill 1 Granite Golem in FT1 in exchange for 75,000 honor. Keep in mind that this only works if you are Rank 10 or below. Any rank above 10 will not do.
To begin, you need to acquire as many Plates of Glory VI as you require. Afterwards, both you and your friend need to establish a party and enter the FT1 dungeon. While you door sit, your friend will begin moving towards killing Chackirs.
Once Chackris has been disposed of, your friend continues on with the quest until he reaches the Granite Golem room. Once the fire gate to said room has been killed, he will proceed to kill the first Granite Golem that spawns. This should complete your quest which you acquired from Morrison. Right after completing said quest, you must exit the dungeon via using the Select Character option, log back in and warp to Port Lux (this can be done without warping, however, it takes a long time).
Once in Port Lux, receive your reward from Morrison and acquire a new quest. Then simply get back into the dungeon and have your friend kill another Golem. However, by this time, most, if not all Golems should have spawned. This will require your friend to be very careful when luring the Golems as there might be times where he might kill more than 1 at the same time. Rinse and repeat until you reach the desired Honor Rank, or until you reach rank 11.
How much will it cost?
The required amount of honor needed to reach rank 11, starting from 0 is 10 million. I understand that most people who will be doing this will be at least rank 5 or so, however, the costs will be from 0 to 10 million. If you are higher ranked, simply subtract your honor from 10 million and divide by 75,000 to get the required amount of Plates of Glory VI.
If you require assistance on how to finish the FT1 dungeon, please refer either to this guide, which includes a map, or any other guide you may find.
So, from 0 to 10 million:
Required Plates: 133.3 (134)
Cost of Plates: 33,500 Cabal Cash
Required FT1 runs: 22.3 (23)
Alz required for Epaulet: 23,000,000
From rank 9 to rank 11:
Required Plates: 99.2 (100)
Cost of Plates: 25,000 Cabal Cash
Required FT1 runs: 16.6 (17)
Alz required for Epaulet: 17,000,000
The time it takes to reach your desired rank depends on how fast your friend can reach the Golems, how fast he can kill them and if you have warp capabilities or not. But from my experience, it shouldn't take as long as TG does. But then again, I would be biased to say that considering I dislike TG.
To end, thank you for reading, and I hope that this guide has helped.
