Button Remapping

Ok i have an Acer Aspire 5535 and along the top of the keyboard there is a set of buttons; WLAN, Vol-, Vol+ and Bluetooth.

My question is - is it possible to remap the bluetooth key to do something else, apparently all acer aspires come with this key but almost none actually have an internal bluetooth device - i want to make this key do something useful like open IE or photoshop or something like that, but i dont know how as it is not a normal laptop key.

I have a feeling it would involve drivers or BIOS and i would need a guide as im not too confident with that lol.

Here is a picture of the set of buttons, there not standard keys and using key remapping software wont work, pressing them produces green writing on the screen (such as "No bluetooth device" or "WLAN Disabled"):

anyone have any idea if this is possible and/or knows how to do it? any help would be much appreciated :)
