hi y'all. i've been lurking the elitepvp forums for awhile now, and just wanted to throw out a suggestion.
we all know by now that with the new .kom editor, it is fairly easy to make mods for this game that are completely client-sided. we also know that joecalis has a great little program that applies voice/language packs for those of us who don't want to hear whatever voices our version of elsword is currently using. it waits until the checker is finished, then applies so that the xtrap checker (i'm on NA Elsword, so we have xtrap. dunno about the rest of you guys haha) doesn't catch that you've changed some files.
in short, it automates the process, making it convenient for everyone.
we CAN do this process by hand, but sometimes we can't connect to the game on our first try, and so we would need to keep playing the "patch apply" real-time event to get our mods to work as we play.
in any case, my suggestion/thought/request is that it would be great if someone could collaborate with joecalis (since he already has one that, i assume, just needs some minor modification to fulfill this purpose...or just another person if you have a beef with him, i dunno lol), to create a program that would simply apply all the mods to the data folder from one centralized location. i am completely unknowledgable about programming/coding and the like, so i wouldn't be able to do this at all.
so yea, any volunteers/thoughts? lol
