Yes, you can.
Follow Ultimatiums guide of getting IP Address to show (It's for LOTF) then just make it write the client's IPAddress in the Client.MyChar INI file. Goodluck, you should manage to do it.

Emme

anyway just like in the account creation part
make it so they get an IP slot so it will be likle create char balbah

WriteString(IP:)

and then when they log in make it write the ip down for that character =]

Dont ban me for this:o. Im druged atm so
In response to the frequent nypostningarna of threads on how to track an IP so I thought it would be easiest to compile a guide with the overall information posted here.

There are several ways to do it but there is no guarantee that you will find a unique user / address. This is because most do not own their own IP, but it may be assigned by their ISP, which then stands as the owner of the address. These can assign addresses statically, ie the same person always has the same address, or dynamic, which means that the address can vary for a single user and the leaves generally not released information on who has / had the ip to other than the authorities to require data.

To see who owns an IP we can use a tool known as the "whois. This tends to accompany most UNIX machines, but you can also use it online here:

Another tool that can can be interesting to use the traceroute (or tracert to the units in MS Windows that are accessed through the DOS prompt). With this tool, you develop a road between you and the address you're searching. The road consists of routers that are between you and although it can vary so searches can routers addresses provide information such as what city the address you are looking for is in.
You can of course also find traceroute on the net, but please note that it is not from your computer that way yesterday, but from the computer that makes your search:

There are also several programs that try to graphically visualize and localize using traceroute but unfortunately is not the better for free:

There are of course more tools you can use to trace an IP. T ex GeoBytes IPLocator trying to view address geographical address, but unfortunately the show quite often wrong:

IP2Location offers 20 searches per day free of charge:

showmyip offers 100 searches per day free of charge:

(Ollbox system has reportedly apparently ended as the following paragraph is probably obsolete)
If the user has a Telia address and you have a good chance to get hold of the city address is linked to, based on their ollbox system. First you must find out their DNS address which looks like a bunch of numbers and letters ending in flsXXXoYYY.telia.com, where XXX and YYY is a number of figures. The address you can get by doing a reverse-search against the DNS servers. With these figures you can with some luck determine where the address is coming from by looking at a list of ollboxnummer:

To do reverse search and get the domain name from ip, you can use Lookup as vertyg below:

If others can track you
A supplementary question on this is of course if someone can track you using your ip. Have you not taken any special measures, I recommend you to test the network tools above with your ip and surf in to the address below for more information about your ip:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

As long as you use your own internet connection so can your ISP and then of course the authorities that are authorized to track you. Even if you have dynamic IP that changes very often so you can be identified by an address, plus a term which means that the ISP can check who had the address at that particular time and then trace back to your subscriptions.
To protect themselves against that people can track you can use a proxy and there are numerous threads on here. Search and you shall find. Note, however, that the proxy must be anonymous so as to test against any side that look like one below:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], net (a bit down there Proxy Test)
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

While browsing through an anonymous proxy so the information needed to trace you back in the proxy server, so if they disclose information, you can of course be traced. If you want to be really anonymous is probably the easiest to browse on someone else's subscriptions without their knowledge. The easiest way to exploit unprotected WLAN. How you do this you can read more about in this forum (read the other guides and do not forget to search before you ask a question).

It may also be worth checking out is EFFs system, Tor, for anonymous communication on the web:

Do you have anything more to add (maybe more internet service providers that have systems similar ollbox, better services to graphically locate ip or just that I forgot to take something), so let me know.
