lol I tend not to go for rumors, its obvious we past their version, look at tullan in the youtube vid.... its more reasons to think they will continue rather than close without us seeing morethan what we have today

Well first of all there's currently no GM activity except for the GT exchange and weekly maintenance.
From the official side there has never been anything said regarding the closure of EU-Servers.
Moreover, it was about the time that WZ decided to take the Japanese servers down when we met GM Derek and the COO at the gamescom (last summer). We gave some feedback and advice to the COO and discussed several issues. We also asked whether the rumours about japanese server closures were true and if they were planning to take EU servers down as well.
Of course, he said that they will not take the EU servers down.
On the one hand I don't want to believe that they simply take the main AL servers down without putting some more effort into them or trying to sell some more CC. On the other hand I'm convinced that they're losing money by AL for quite a while.

I don't think they are not taking AL down - yet. But sooner or later it's doomed. The concurrence is too strong (look at Terra/GW2 and other new MMOs), the company can't handle support-issues and bugfixing.
I just hope they will run it for a while and improve the game so it's at least playable

Edit: The COO told us also that they considered offering a service for japanese players to transfer their accs to korean AL

The only way this game will stay open is if they put some damn effort into the game on fixing things.

They seemed to have done it the last few weeks with some small patches, now if they continued to make small fixes each week like for example...

Fix AH bugs
Fix missing AH items
Fix quests
Fix scion titles
etc etc
which should give them time to figure out all the bigger ones.
