[REQ] Cheatengine help

was wondering if someone could help me with pointers n such on cheatengine
if not its cool
i know im a noob for asking this XDDD
so go ahead and flame :P

Pointers got me too, I kept rereading the same paragraph like ten times in the training tutorial. Lots of trial and error.. and since there is no back button on the training tutorial consider it more practice, close and restart :)

Which # are you on in the tutorial? You ran tutorial.exe right? I think I am on 6/7 pointers are a lot more difficult for me to understand.. kind of, I know it is seeing what accesses/writes to x ... I think lol

Ok.......... this was a pain in the ***!

First of all i think the wording in the actual tutorial.exe is wrong, when he says to see what *accesses this, you should be seeing what writes to this (Worked for me).

I read through everything and it was just overwhelming/confusing.. I think skipping to the # list at the bottom of step 6 is smart to do :D

There is actually 2 pointers, so you are finding a pointer to the code value, then a pointer to the previously said pointer. (Make sense? lol read it a couple times :P I had too).

I am posting what all i had open to complete tutorial 6, etc. Make sure you understand tutorial 5 before doing this...

[ I also noticed sometimes if doing any scrolling in the results, if they are a large amount, will cause any next scan to result in nothing... I did the same process multiple times, and sometimes if i scrolled through values, it would FK-up... dont scroll, follow directions, and the correct results should appear, if the app is working correctly.. i made it bug out and crash a few times. ]
