Just go and retrieve the account through proper channels.

Just contact the customer support tell them you got hacked since he probably logged in into the account , provide the info that they ask and you will have the account back and next time don't be fooled by some dude with 2 rep and such. You're on the internet ... nothing is "safe" :)
