[Question] Servers

So... if I wanna get a dedicated server, will a Linux do?


And could anybody tell me tips/hints from their past experiences.





Can I manage the server just like if it was on my own computer?
Like, just put in the source, database and run the server?

ye most people just do the second part of what you said

No conquer source that's public will run on Linux.

Best would be windows server 32bit.. and remote desktop connection is much like controlling your own screen but the host datas isn't shared with your pc ofcourse.
so yeah just upload the files to your host.. install/configure your stuff and launch it.

Yeah, I just though of running the soure via Wine. But yeah.

Cause I really think Linux is better for servers.
