Bidding amounts and purchase order priority

I know that many of you may not have an incentive to share, but I'm interested in getting some insight onto bidding for things.

My first priority is lvl 5 sails. I have bid up to 26 million and still not won. I thought these would be easy since each boat only needs 3, but I assume that people are bidding on multiple accounts which is driving up the price. Should I just be patient here or bid higher?

I am also interested in buying some keys. Is this a waste? How much do you think I should bid? I think I already lost one at over 100m.

How much do you think winning bids are on some of the other useful items- crystals, ammo, cannons, amulets, decks?

Any tips on this or pearl purchase priority would be appreciated.

Depends on which server you are playing on.

Good point. I am on US server east. But I guess I could switch to one with lighter traffic, since I just started. Maybe Us global 2? Which servers seem to have the lightest population?

Also as far as pearl purchasing, I was thinking - Crystals for 25 or so skill points, then save up for event cannons, then decks, then castles, then voodoo priest then back to skill points.

Is that reasonable

As far as i know is the Gold bug still working, so there is no point in bidding. Dont spend you hard farmed money. Use gold bug or wait till its fixed.

I'm using the gold bug to generate the money for the bids. But it just seems a little ridiculous to bid 100m for a sail or 1 b for a key.

No for me it seems legit if you get 300m for doing the gold bug 1 time...
