Skills in client side and serverside are incompatible/different

03/02/2013 11:18 mixand#1
The client side skill.SData is very different to the database I have, so a lot of skills don't work properly.

For example, a skill might give you 100 STR in the client data, but in the database it gives 80.

I've been trying to manually fix them all but it takes so long and its confusing
So I'm wondering if there is a skill.sdata and dbo.skills file which are the same i could have?
Just the default Shaiya one would be great if anyone has it or has a link to it...
Any would do, it would help me so much.
Thanks everyone
:)

thanks :) oh.. mm for some reason the skills are still messed up? :c ahh lol says unable to use/or level is too low for a lot of the skills.

cause u need to follow the tutorial in that files -.-" use CE on the ps_game like it is explained and they all work fine. start reading or stop developping -.-"

i did follow the tutorial, i updated the database with the files it gave, started the server, used cheat engine and executed the code and it is messed up now?
Look at the skill.dbo

it changed to that when i updated the sql using the file, is that what it was meant to do? thanks

edit: it seems okay except for the row ID's if i sort it

Quite surely you haven't successfully executed the query that modifies the procedure reading your skills.

If I'm right, just write
Code:
USE PS_GameDefs;
in the first line of the procedure and you should be able to execute it.

^thankyou, tried it and it says the executions are succsesful with or without that bit of code but my skills are still all messed up, more then before i tried using the fix.

it either says too low level to use when i'm low level, and when i'm high level it says "unable to use" a few work though but judging from the files i can't see why some work and others have that issue.

i really hope i can get this fixed

? ^ I've done that, i know how to use CE, i started the server, executed the code in CE then /nprotect and /vchkoff but it still won't work, am i missing something?

patch the skill.sdata in your client and execute skill.sql (both in the same folder)
03/07/2013 16:18 mixand#13
did you mean EP5 Skills.sql? cause i don't have just Skills.sql, still didn't work though

imported skills.sdata
executed the .sql files in folder
ran server and did the cheat engine thing using the CEA file
did /nprotect and /vchkoff
and it still does the same errors

^ anything wrong with what i did?
