The patent against piracy, which has been filed by Sony in year 2011, has now been publicized. It includes a method, which is said to prevent playing bootleg copies of games repeatedly. It's pretty safe to assume, that this draft will be put into action for Playstation 4.

Mentioned method is going to be based on charge times - this means, that if a game loads longer/shorter than a default standard value, then countermeasures will be launched. Of course there won't be locks, when the first game happens to load longer than estimated, but any suspicious loading time above/below set value can result in markings of player or console. By doing this, suspects can be divided into groups of people, who really commit a crime or accidentally get marked by scratched Blue-Rays.
