Hello. I am currently looking for a gamesource for a 2D game. I do not have enough time to make one from scratch, so therefore I'm buying one and studying from there.

Please let me know if you have anything I could be intrested of. Thanks

Regards Emme

I`m going to make one as well when I get DarkBasic Pro, until that I could recommend using DarkGDK with C++ (free, pretty simple), GameMaker 7(kinda sucks, but it`s easy, around $20 or so, and I saw some pretty cool stuff done with it), or Flash.

If you wanna do it in C#, I could recommend DarkGDK.NET, XNA, or Managed DirextX

I think that he wanted to do this on PC, not mobile games. Games for mobiles aren`t so easy to make, it isn`t very easy to keep your memory consumation under 30k, as this is what many phones are offering. Although I`m not really in this kind of stuff, so prove me wrong freely.

// Although, this whole thread shouldn`t have been posted in this section...

If you wanna spend a bit more money on it, you could try Torque X with XNA, or Torque Game Builder.

I'll make a basic MMORPG and sell it to you once I'm done.

Give me a month, I'll do it when I'm not playing Warlords.
Talk to me on MSN.

A 2D MMORPG source? For what reason? There are already tons of them (although they are written in VB6). There was one for C# as well somewhere but I can`t search for it now.

I'm just looking for a basic game, nothing fancy, in C#. So I can learn, add stuff and code in it. The source should be written so it's playable aswell, if you code a client or another way. Movement and such basic things should be included aswell.

If you want to make a game in C#, IMO definitely go to XNA, as it can do very professional results, it ain`t so hard if you know C#, it`s rapidly evolving, and if you want to pay for it then you get the extra stuff, like compiling your games for XBOX and/or Zune.

There are other ways of course, Irrlicht has a .NET version if I`m right, also there`s a C# port for Ogre3D (dunno if that has 2D commands, but you could do a 3D engine looking like a 2D one for a more professional result :D)
