[Tool] CoordConverter

02/21/2013 10:43 Deathsnacks#1
Converts between uNf/gZoom coord files (.xyz) and GW2Port/Midnight coord files (.ini).

Drag and drop your coord file onto CoordConverter.exe to convert it.
(It is possible to drop multiple files for conversion)

Known Issues:
  • When converting .ini files, app might crash when it gets fed a malformed file.

Please make sure that you've extracted Nini.dll along with the .exe, else it will crash!

Notes:
  • When converting .xyz to .ini, any commas will be replaced with periods.
  • When converting .ini to .xyz, if it loads into gZoom/uNf as 55555 or something like that, please read the [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] on how to change your regional settings.

Changelog:
  • v2:
    • Added better handling of what Nini thinks are malformed files.
    • Change behavior of .ini to .xyz conversion such that the decimal separator is read from system settings to output the correct format.

Before someone asks me could I make a converter for auto explorer (is it even still working?), no I can't, as I have no idea what coords does the program generated.

This is a very trivial to solve, before converting you need to change the "." on "," in file's. Open windows notepad -> edit -> change -> find (.) ->change for (,) -> change all -> and save. Then convert that the all file's. I'm not sure the names of functions in notepad, i have Polish windows :)

Pozdrawiam^^

Converting from ini to xyz seems to result in incorrect values when opening the converted xyz file in gZoom.

Converting .ini to .xyz will always result in period(.) separators, this may not be your regional settings and gZoom will default to 50000. Will be releasing an update to address this.
