[help]stage hack =/

This might be a stupid question, but here goes.
I've read the tut on stage hack
Thes steps I do are as followed:
Go trial tower (3 stars)
Kill everything scan 1 byte 4 exact value
Go next map kill everything scan 2
Then back to 1st map and scan 1
Then 2nd map scan 2
After a while I get my 1-8 addresses I set and freeze them at the value for the boss value I want, but as soon as I do that I get a 3rd party pop up and GC closes on me.
I'm not sure if this is because I'm playing GC US or not;This happens for mp hack too.
Either this or is it just patched? I just started, so yeah.

you dont go back to 1st map...

scan 1..
kill everything..
scan 2..

go to 2nd map
scan 1..
kill everything..
scan 2..


and so on...

Thanks I'll try that. I went around trying what I did and was kind of starting to think I did something wrong, but couldn't figure it out.
