Tranparency of armor textures

Hi there,

i have a problem with some lvl 70+ armor textures especially of elves (mage, archer). I changed some armor files of lvl 30 armors (dds and 3dc) in client
for the ep6 armor files. It worked for every race but elves. There i get some
tranparent textures that show the correct armor ... but ur looking through
the textures. So any idea what went wrong and how to fix it !?

If you replaced the files (Lv30) by the (EP6) did not do the best ..
You should do this: add the armor (EP6) in your client, not replace anyone, just put another number with which you can identify obviously and then edit the texture (Shstudios or what you use) and put it as armor (30) if you want to do that

Thanks, I'll try it and give you a feedback :-)

Edit: No, it's not working this way ... everytime i'm trying to enter game now, client is crushing.

I extracted and decrypted Item.SData with lilpro's Tool,
Changed the connection of lvl 30 armor textures to the lvl 80 armor textures (*14),
include the new *14 files (dds and 3dc) into the character/elves 3dc and dds folder
encrypted the Item.SData after saving and included it into the client

Did i forget anything !?

;)
if the gears appear invisible u forgot to add a 3dc file or a dds file.

Yeah, I thought the same and re-uploaded the dds and 3dc files twice and a third time. But that didnt change anything .. plz take a closer look at the example pic in the first article i wrote .. there u can see, that the dds and 3dc are nearly visible but in a strange transparent way.

And by the way .. if it would be only 1 part of armor .. i would understand, that i forgot a file but it's the whole armor (all pieces) .. and other races are working perfectly.

I'll try your tut, thanks for that ... giving feedback when im done :-)
