I had this problem and sorted it out
along with a friend who had the same problem.

to fix it this is what you do.

What you need to download.
Sql Server 2000 Service Pack 3.
Download:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Instructions:
1. Back up your SQL Server databases.
2. Back up your Analysis Services databases.
3. Make sure that the system databases have enough free space.

4. Download from the link above
sql2ksp3.exe first.
then
sql2kasp3.exe

5. Extract sql2ksp3.exe to its folder. followed by sql2kasp3.exe into the same folder
6. go into the folder click start.bat and install the patch.

7. Restart services and applications.

Dekaron servers dont work with vista.
if you are going to make a dekaron server
i suggest you download
vmware
and make a virtual server with windows xp service pack 2.

i dont think it will i have that exact same error.
i dont see why i should since i am hosting the pc on a vps server.

I fixed my problem,

i installed service pack 4, but now that i got my server started, my client just sits there on 69.9% and 72.6% and locks up......goes no further.......

any solutions to that?

The problem with odbc connection usually only occurs on 64 bit systems. What you need to do is use the syswow64 odbc panel instead of the system32 one that the control panel links to.

the whole thing doesnt work
if i uninstall all, install SQl 2000 + SP3 it gives me an error if i want to enter the new databases (like account, cash...)
so whats the point of being admin without a working database

dont just use my guide all my guide does is fix the connection
with sql server 2000. and corrects the odbc connection follow silkbotters

install sql server 2000 then install service pack 3
then install service pack 4
and then you shouldnt have a problem running the dekaron server
and session server shouldnt crash anymore.
