If any of you are familiar with Darren Brown you may understand how this works. Admittedly it doesnt work every time but I was amazed at how often it can be done.
Agree a trade with someone to sell an item for CPs
When they put the CPs into the trade window click cancel and say
"Hey, I said CPs not silvers, i aint falling for that one"
This throws the other party off and breaks the routine, which is the first step
They will protest and say they did put CPs in the window, so say
"OK try again"
the other party will be on guard for social engineering item replacement tricks now, so when they see the same item in the trade window, this will again break the pattern of what they expect, which will increase the hypnotic state, it will also instill a sense of trust at this point again boosting the hypnosis. But again, cancel the trade and say
"WTF? silvers again?"
Again they will protest, but at this point you can usually make them do anything you say within reason, so you have to plant a suggestion. Say
"ok, just open a trade and put some CPs in first if You Will. Press OK, here if i see them".
Although that last sentance sounded a bit like I was speaking bad english, I wasnt, the important part of that sentance is "You Will. Press OK," (notice the comma after OK and the capital Y and W) which is the hypnotic suggestion you have just planted into their already partial hypnotic state. Now once you see the CPs in your window, press your OK button without putting the item in, you will be surprised how many people just click ok on their window without thinking.
