Good night and happy new year to all!

I want to create a silkroad server using the recommended files

Client: 1.188
Files: vSRO

I have a linux server, it is possible to run?
That only works with Windows?

Thank you

You can use [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] for the database engine, and [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] for server modules.

I don't know about the certificate, and I haven't tried it yet because a friend told me that the WineHQ has a limit for incoming connections of 4..You should try it yourself and let us know what happened with you.

I doubt that wine has all API calls implemented the files use(one missing function and you could be screwed)
He can try it though

And no he can't use SQLite, because there's no real standard for SQL and Microsoft(just like oracle and others) has it's own keywords, so he must use a microsoft version

oh and I wonder how Wine implemented ODBC

You could, if you manage to get a virtual machine with Windows running on the linux server.

Forget about using WINE for run them, not possible.

While it is technically possible to do so, trying to get mssql to work on linux alone will probably get your hired by red hat. Your best bet is to use a hypervisor (kvm or xen) and run the windows guests virtualized...

Use or write a SRO emulator that runs on Linux, use Wine to run the server files (lol), run a hypervisor on Linux with a Windows guest, or hack Joymax's servers and change the server's code to support an SQL server that runs on Linux.

Otherwise you're fucked.
