Anyone up for a project:D?

Sup guys, lately I've been bored as hell when neither girlfriend of mates is around, so I'm planning on reviving my source again, which means a server will eventually come up. BUT, I need teammates!
Heres some info you might wanna know before applying:

The source is not public and it's done by me. It's better than LOTF and more stable than LOTF. I think it could hold somewhere around 100 clients.
The source is somewhere between basic and ready to get up. Heres some of the stuffs that's done:

Intresting, do you have any site I can watch, that you entirely made yourself from scratch?

about everything is controlled with the template i created , the marquee the links the navi bar.. only can be changed through the template. that way it is the same for all. there is an editable region in the middle of the site you will see like where the chatbox is , and all the text :D

if we're serious about this, we should look at the whole site, and bring the ppl who are good at each area they do. I can also handle graphics very well, so can swissknife. There's a graphic department, if he'd be interested. All you coders with your different sources should unify. It does no good to struggle as an individual or very small team when it can be opened up to a number of ppl. You're very good emme, but we should ask all coders to help and contribute to the most stable source. In the end we will never have a product for sale, this is really a dead end venture - except as a first effort by a team, learning each others personalities and such. Inf, Kinshi, Ultim and a number of other coders should be approached. Personally i'll work with anyone who is serious about banging this out - so we can maybe move on to something that will pay. Really for all we know without revision control like was mentioned, even the flat file system is moving down multiple roads untethered to each other, resulting in incompatibility. I've got a good friend who has been working our code, and tho neither of us is anywhere near you guys, we are starting to learn as fast as we can. Anyway, here's some of my edits in screenies...

If you want, and if possible, you can join as both idea maker and photoshop'er. I think Kinshi might be intrested in joining the team as a coder, we'll see when he gets on.

unfortunately the screenies arent finished, as you can see. Reworking the HUD alone is almost enough for one person, in a resonable time frame. Anyone know SwissKnife? His edits are pro, we should approach him. If noone knows him i'll try to PM him (i think he is from my server). I work with one other person who will want to help in some way. we could use entry lvl coders too, to code the NPC controls and stuff like that, which even i can do pretty easily. But maybe we should think about like 2 entry lvl coders to help on that- stuff so you & any of the others top coders (Kinshi would be great, we should still come up with what we've got and approach Inf, Ulltim, unkwn) can focus on less "tedious" aspects of the code. Maybe Tao is interested too, as i see names i'll mention them, it'd be FAST if we worked with a good size team.

Emme, this is no personal attack or anything, if I was more open to public works I'd gladly either help you or release Nano/Nova's source code for everyone, but you only expect your coding to handle 100 clients?

Why not be confident in your work? Or, if you could only do that, perhaps you should get better before you try and make a full-scale private server.

Hi Andy. Well, I assume the source could hold somewhere around 100-150 clients. I'm going to improve some scripts in the source. My goal is to make this source hold atleast 200 people with a decent host, and that should be enough imo, but I will keep on improving.

Heres my coding plan:

is that an app andy? =p. seriously tho, if you can help you should hop on. Lets look at the only 3 motivations for a private sever.

1. respect - noble, but a few ppl cannot always out do a larger team of qualified individuals, except perhaps in a larger timeframe. Sometime, when a project is close to us, we have a tendancy to want to have a hand in everything. You cant, it cannot be done efficiently. at some point you must let go and trust the ppl you have gathered around you.

2. money - Since most Psrvrs are not in the buisness of making money, and its is generally reviled as a practice, only the greedy are subjected to this.

3. TQ - to displace TQ as the authority on this game. Leave them and their bulkers to fight it out in a game whose margins are profit margins, not capability and imagination. If this is your motivation, we're on the same page.

Not sure what your motivation is, but if its to learn, that falls under the respect category. Even if just respect for yourself. If you can help, and arent too busy, give it some thought.

My main motivation is to learn, but also to give the community something back, a server they can go on and just play, play like they did on CO 1.0 . Where you never had to think about buying DB's for better equipments, where you never had to hunt for over 2 hours to get a DragonBall, etc etc, the good time!

As some of you know, I'm the Emme that had the most popular server 3 years ago (I think it was 3 years ago..) , Zonquer Online. The source was shit, the website was shit, but the gameplay and community was awesome and that is why it became such a popular server. I wish to open such a server again, where community makes the server, not server makes community.

Experience with the thing you're applying for Well I did couple of things in C#, I`m not a great coder but I can do simple tasks. As for Photoshop, I started last year, I like it really much, I could do some stuff.
Why I should pick you First because I`m hot :D I can work in a team very well, I can help in organizing stuff, maybe I can`t do some stuff but at least I know what I`m doing
