[Question] Which source would you recommend?

Hello,

I am currently planning a project which involves me using a private server, coding the source, changing maps and NPCs etc.

I've been reading around on the forums and tested out a few sources and it came to my attention that some people dislike some sources, where as others love it. It really makes it hard for me to decide on which source to use.

I was just wondering if people could take a few seconds of their time to tell me which source they prefer and why, so I can find a source to use for my project.

Before some of you flame me, I'm not asking for a 100% ready source. I don't want a 100% ready source, I mean where's the fun in that? ;)

Thanks

You seem to be intelligent, so just get a grasp of C# first. After you know some C#, get started with Hybrid`s source. You won`t find any better one here, although you`ll have to do most of the things in it.

Hybrids source? I doubt a beginner in C# would understand the way hybrid code.

I would say create some basic C# programs, then move over and study a source, LOTF is a good example. Try to 'fix' the codes that's really bad, like making them better. Then, you can move over to hybrids source or take a huge step and slowly create your own.

I wish you all luck

What makes you think I'm a beginner in C#?

Oh, you may not be but if I were you, I would look over all sources and see which one is the one I can learn most of, but I have my own source so I'm that far already.

You can look at my tutorials, but Hybrid's is better but it's always good to learn a little more. Also use youtube and follow steps.

Alright, I'll look over your tutorials after I'm finished with Hybrid's.

Thanks Emme and eldernecro, you've been a good help.
