192.221.144.xx is not a private IP Address o_O

Only the following IP Addresses are 'private':

10.0.0.1-10.255.255.255
192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255
172.16.0.0 - 172.32.255.255

Are you using the binaries or an actual source?
Are you correctly forwarding your ports through your router?

I forget the binary ports, but if it is a private/released source code, 9958 & 5816 are the default ports.

nobody can connect to you because you don't have the ports forwarded needed for others to connect to you.

You need to edit your router's port forwarding page and allow 2 ports to reach your computer (it's IP Address). If you have a router in place, and want to have people connect correctly, that is the only way of doing it.

hi Backtomatirx, your name is too long, i'll call you BTM. You need to go to your routers "web page" interface, which is built into all routers. Try going to 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. you will need to enter your user name and password. if it is your first time entering your router they are probably "admin" and "password". once inside you will be looking at basically what appears to be a web page, that is being served to you from your router. Look for the option "port forward". sometimes it isnt easy to see, on this new router i have for example, it is under "security". once you find the place to port forward, the process is pretty easy. usually it wants a name for the "rule" or "exception" you are creating. then it will ask start and end ports, if you are only opening single ports, and not a range of ports, then enter the same number twice, like this

start port - 9958
end port - 9958

that does it, one port is opened. choose TCP & UDP (both) for type, if it asks. it will probably also want to know which computer to send the traffic to from this door, or port. make sure you tell it your internal IP (192.168.X.X) or in some cases just the name of the PC that is on the LAN with it is enough. that opens your ports. Then in your config.ini file (in your source folder) make sure the IP is your EXTERNAL IP and that the ports the game is using are the ones which you opened. Hope this helps. pce.
