"How to" Aion - FAQs + Guides + links

Since everyone is like opening 500 new topics, with questions that atleast 78368 people already asked, just brcause they are too lazy to use the search engine, I thought of making a topic like an ultimate guide for every single fu**ing question.

Before I beging I'd like to ask you to not post your questions here, but to send me a PM with your question. I'll try to help you, and if I am able to, I'll integrate the Q/A into this guide, too.

(And no, I'm not trying to just get "thanks"..)

Where do I register an account?

On [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] (Click the left linked icon.)
What you gotta input, top to bottom: Name, password, password, Email. (You can leave the last two input boxes free, cause they are about your phone number and promotional acc.)

Buying game time

I recommend you to buy game time at this site: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

A little explanation, for all of those, who are not sure about what to do:
Make sure you choose the proper server region, it's in the same order as in the patcher.
You can buy only one unit, 7500 seconds (2 hours 5 minutes).
But don't worry, you can mulitply it up to 200 times, which would be around 400 hours.
Enter your ID and choose your payment method and you are done. :)



How to turn your interface into English:

Servers?!

Most people from Europe/USA are playing on Clock Tower, North China.

To access to North China servers, you have to apply it on the patcher,
like this:

The Server Clock Tower is called 时钟座 or - with the English patch - Azariel

战士 - Warrior

剑星 - Gladiator

守护星 - Templar

侦查者 - Scout

弓星 - Ranger

杀星 - Assassin

法师 - Mage

魔道星 - Sorcerer

祭司 -Priest

护法星 - Chanter

治愈星 - Cleric



How to.. delete a character:

Click on the second button on the right side.
There should be a window which says "Delete" ..
For the korean client: 삭제신청
For the chinese client: 申请删除 (thanks to hyde)

hi guys, when i go to add the adult ID, the page is different to the one shown in your screenshots, so i have no clue where to click.. here's a pic of what i get..

Sorry i got confused, got it sorted now and can log ingame.

However i've followed both guides to turning the interface into english and it all still seems to be the same on the server menu. Here's a pic

At first it re-downloaded the CH folder and pak file, then i deleted again and it let me ingame straight away just using the ENU.pak, but it still won't show the server list in english. Any tips?

I got a question regarding the instalation of the chinese client. I choose this path: "C:\Arquivos de programas\AION\"

But during installation the installer created this instead: "C:\Arquivos de programas\AION\ÓÀºãÖ®Ëþ"

I wonder if I just copy all that is inside "ÓÀºãÖ®Ëþ" folder and paste on "C:\Arquivos de programas\AION\" will anyhow give me any trouble.

Some one that already installed can give me a tip? TKs :mofo:

Just leave it where it is. In some operating systems it may cause trouble, on some other not.. I didn't move mine. And it's working fine. Don't worry about the folder, it's the standard one that's created with the installation of Aion.

Did you modify the versionInfo_AION.ini ..? :O

Yes, it says

[UpdInfo]
CurrentVersion=3
SeparateStatus=3
UpdaterVersion=3

The only file in the L1ON foldier is the ENU.pak.

I also tried it with the CH folder re-named as ENU which was suggested in another method.
