Magictype. dat is a client file
It controls all the attributes of what skills are in the game and how they work.
You can decrypt, edit and re-encrypt the file using many popular public .dat editors for conquer.

Note that basically everything in the file is checked server side. It used to be you could lower the delay on some skills and stuff but it's really not going to help you much now.

It's more useful for when you're coding spells in a private server because the magictype determines how each skill works, how much dmg they do, etcetc so you can save plenty of time coding them yourself.

or you can create bots that automate skill leveling, casting, targeting and so on.

Magictype is in no way needed for that...

Simply have the bot record the action (whatever spell you cast after clicking the button) and then re-send it every X seconds. Magictype isn't needed at all.

we use the spell id in chrome. Fixed fog in botjail hhhhhhh

fixing fog with chrome on non-pk maps:
Code:
@tele 120 113 6002
autosit on
:top
@jump 120 113
sleep 2000
@cast 6001 121 116
@jump 121 116
sleep 2000
@cast 6001 120 113
goto top
fixing magic defe. in house (warrior skill)
Code:
:top
@jump 064 054
sit
sleep 12000
@cast 11200
sleep 2000
@jump 060 054
sit
sleep 12000
@cast 11200
sleep 2000
goto top
Yeah I can see how your way works, but you could use the magictype as shown here also.

You're referencing spell ids... that has nothing to do with magic type.

If you were using magictype then you wouldn't need the sleep 2000 code as you could use the spell delays and costs from inside the magictype file.

MagicType != spell ids. You can get the spell ID a million ways. You're just splitting hairs for the sake of being troublesome though so whatever.

ok so ive been stalking the official forum and these are the info i got

1.editing m-type only gave people cali-ping, or in the euro servers I guess uk-ping
2.Right now it actually removes something internal too, making it even lower than cali's

so my next question is: How to do it?

<edit> Off topic: Happy New Year EPVPers...

does this work

Anyone claiming that editing magictype reduces your ping has been sniffing glue.

Magictype controls how skills work

Ping refers to how long it takes a packet of information to travel to your computer to the servers (and back)

Yes, magictype edits can be useful but just keep in mind everything (should) be checked server side. I assume what the people you're hearing these things from are talking about reducing the delay on fastblade. This is totally possible as it edits how your CLIENT reacts to the skill but it makes no true difference server side (very little used to be checked server side which meant you could fb 5 times in .1 second but I think they fixed that)

So yes... feel free to edit the file to your hearts content. It may improve how you feel while using the client but it most certainly has no bearing on your ping.
