Help with episode 3 editing

So i never played ep3 until few day ago when i setup a offline server for myself. That's cool no oj or lapisia, yeah i like, but now i want custom items(well duh), my problem is everytime i try to edit the sdata file with shstudio it crash the game(can't load Char). So i search and look around got a lot of answers but not a fix ;-(, anyway the problem is shstudio I believe adds the line for Craftname? oj lapisia in the sdata file
if some could let know if i'm right or wrong would be nice and if there any old tools for editing episode 3 would be greatly appreciate Thanks

Ok, I developed an ep3 test server for quite some time.
A few tips, the ep3 .SData files are NOT encrypted, you CAN use Castor's shStudio but you must remember to decrypt each .SData file after you save it or else you will get an error (if you put it into your client).
Don't forget to edit the database if you make any changes in the Item.SData. And It is ep3 for crying out loud. Lapisia and Rec runes did not exist. For them to work you would need an ep4 ps_game theoretically, but I am not gonna waste time thinking about it.

So to answer your problem. LPH data extraction tool, shStudio (to edit, must decrypt the SData after you have saved) aaand once again Lapasia and Rec runes did not exist.

ok don't get your point i thought i made it clean but guess not, I don't want lapisia or Oj stats (rec rune), i need help with the editing and put back in. i'm going trying the tool "peripher" posted see if i have any luck.
also i've mess with changing server files ps_game, ect it don't work cause of the game.exe Can Not read them, that Why i Believe it's to do with Craftname line.
By what i get here @ elitepvp is that Craftname was use to put the name of the Char linking to the item in Ep3 and they change it to Oj stat and lapisia in ep4
And the part of encrypting and decrypting is well duh they don't have it in the software because it sounds cool

I've never used an ep3 db/client myself.. but why don't you just use an ep4 version and downgrade? Surely it's simple enough and avoids all the problems your having with craftname etc. Just take rec runes/lapisia out. Remove server/bonus from items etc, and done.. I'm sure that's what DaBoss just said to you before anyways.. :)

And also I think hat he means with encrypt/decrypt.
When you extract with LPH's tool it makes the files (sdata) decrpted. When you save using ShStudio for example. It makes those files encrypted. Make sure all your files have been decrypted again to work with ep3 (I believe he means that, again i've never used ep3)

No X_X he posted old tools which work, but shStudio works and it has the most flexibility, I would recommend using that, then just follow me as I explained in my previous post.

problem with that tool is it fks u up if u dont know about the bugs of it.

Da Boss was right it as to do with encrypt i don't get it but sometime it works other times screw thing up royally

which tool u talking about being buggy? sorry for the newbie question

i talked about sh studio aslong as u dont know all his bugs i suggest u to not use that tool and better use the old tools peripher posted.
