wait what? what i got out of this is you are trying to figure out if you can run pservers using the 8.1 us client? since most of the pservers are 7.4 mods i don't think you can maybe with switching the sframe but still bugs would be present. just keep to the clients of the pservers and you should be fine.

Sorry mate.
Right now I am unable to patch the US client. I would like to know if with the 8.1 client from a private server, I can change/adjust a couple of files and connect to the US servers, in order to check my accounts.

oh well i dont see why it doesn't want to patch . try re-downloading the us client and re-instaling it. that should help

My problem is the internet speed and the access itself. Only at short periods of time I have access and in work.
That is why I was looking for a way to login to the US server without having to patch.
I guess I'll have to wait a month to see if any of my toons and guild names were changed.

Lol? Simply use a batchfile instead of the official launcher if you only want to connect without playing...there is no need of a patched client...only sframe should be up to date.
