[Help] Overheated machine

12/07/2012 14:59 skulltoo#1
Hi,

Everytime when I want to play DO my laptop gets overheated. I think it has something to do with lots of energy used by the game, flashplayer and internet.
I can run a bot, watch a movie etc a hole day long without trouble but playing the game last for 30 min and than my machine quits/shut off. I'm popped everytime when that happens.:(
Does someone know how to reduce the heat eg a extra ventilator can help but that's no solution for my problem.
I tried to lower my performens in the game but that doesn't help.

Best regards

There are things what you put under the laptop and it cools your battery etc
You can buy it in every electronic shop

100% Try good cooling pad and, shut down all unnecessary processes. But at first try to use any program for HW temperatures, we need to know where is problem, if on RAM, CPU or Graphic.

Yep, I was thinking about that too. Wriht know I got one without fan maybe I should buy one with a fan in it.
Anyway.... I would like to know if I can reduce the heat when I make some chances in my software/drivers.....? If that doesn't help I will buy such a placemat.

Yes, you can, as I said, shut down all unnecessary processes, and when you play DO, so shut down all other processes, this can much help to you RAM. But you really need good cooling pad.

Really, you don´t need better RAM. You really need better cooling. So you will must get some money to your laptop. So at first, go to nearest electronic shop, and buy good cooling pad. (Not chepaer, they are in 95% bad). If this will be not enough, you will need more. As second you can just try to open your laptop, it will have more air, and space, so it will be better. (Everytime put your laptop on your new cooling pad!). If problem still isn´t solved, try to use cooling paste for CPU(too not chepaer), this MUST solve at least CPU problems. But i think you problem will be fully solved. Try this, and say us what happened.

Hope it was helpfull,

Good luck. :)

Maybe its because your laptop fan is not working properly, my highest temperature was like 70º but 90 is too much for any laptop.Try cleaning the fan because sometimes the dust inside the laptop makes it to overheat.
