EP5 Skill Problem Persists

11/26/2012 01:38 diehard6#1
I have an ep5 server running and I keep running into the same problem: skills.

I have installed the +3 skills fix. I replaced the skill.sdata in the client and re-packed it with LPH. I ran both of the queries in my SQL server manager. I also tried adding the skill.sdata to shstudio and running the query script that I got from that output. Same problem.

Most of the skills say "level too low to learn" or "unable to learn skill" and some of them stop at level 2 or 3.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Yes....
I followed the tutorial word for word.
Anyone actually know what the problem is?

If you followed the 'tutorial' step by step there shouldn't be a problem. I used the EP5 skill fix aswell and it worked perfectly ;)

I can bet right away without even looking you missed the

USE PS_GameDefs

From the very start of the SP update query xD
Anyone wanna put some bets on this one? :D

Are you serious ? You talk like this to some of the best developers that are still here and expect help from the community ?
You were explained quite some times how to do everything, and if you have a problem with understanding how to generate a query with ShStudio that will make your database tables match the client ones then you should give up on your dream of being a developer.

nubness....I've had enough of your bull shit. I was clearly joking. I ask nicely that you don't comment on my posts anymore.
Philipp...if you thought I was being serious, sorry, but fix your sarcasm meter xD

Thanks for everyone who commented to help. And thanks to Syndicate for fixing the problem (or at least promising to fix it...which he has yet to do because he is off right now)

To bring in some of my natural Muhrican problem solving here, maybe this should be closed yaknow? since the problem was fixed, dead threads get brought up all the time if they're not closed, and it looks like teeny weeney debatey watey time is bout to go down, which I think John could spare us all from hahaha.

Normally help threads are not closed when the issue gets solved, but seeing how this thread is going, I'll take your suggestion, else I will be handing out a lot of warnings/infractions in the next few posts, and I am not willing to spend time with those sort of upcoming posts; therefore,
