Interesting Problem...

So...I am having an issue with the item mall. After a small update a day ago for some minor gear changes, every time I try to buy something from the item mall I instantly DC, and when I log back in all of my Points are gone. Add more points, try again, insta DC, points are gone.

I searched the forums here and I found the Item Mall fix that was posted on here that was an issue with the Distributed Transaction Coordinator service in Windows. So I checked that and the service was in fact running, but I restarted it a few times for good measure, still nothing.

I also rolled back the update, and made sure that all of the .sdata's were replaced with clean unmodified versions, still nothing.

But the interesting thing is that I have literally the exact same files running on another test server and it is working perfectly, so it has to be something with either the server files themselves or some kind of shenanigans happening in the db, but I am uber frustrated and getting nowhere so hopefully one of you has had a similar problem and can shed some light on it for me.

will you post a copy of the error report here so we can see it and maybe we might be able to help. also are you useing the ep 6 server files that are posted here?

he is not using the ep6 files and here is the error report he has.

Why would your level 80 have EXP of -1 that looks like one of those errors people ran into after using instant leveling scripts... Because they set the level in the database but not the EXP to a level that would coincide with the level.

But that error "which is all i see in that" can not be causing the disconnect after item mall purchase.

That's it exactly. The exp is set at -1 on my test server as well and everything is working perfectly there. I'm also not using instant leveling scripts.

Fixed it, ended up having to restore all my databases.
