03/24/2009 12:18 Mr_PoP#1
i know its already posted here but many ppl asked about it :)

PartOne:

1. Open your Internet Browser. (Firefox. Internet Explorer.)
2. Go to DynDNS.Com and create and account if you don't already have one.
3. Log In, and click on the "Services" tab.
4. Now, Click on Dynamic DNS.
5. Click on Create Host.
6. Fill out the fields. Leave everything default except wildcard. Make sure it's checked.
7. Click add host, and your done with part one.

PartTwo:

1. Go to Start. Then Run.
2. Type. C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc\
3. This will open a folder, Click on Host.file and open it with Notepad/Wordpad.
4. At the end of the file add the following.

CODE
127.0.0.1 (Dynamic DNS)
(Internal IP) (Dynamic DNS)
(External IP) (Dynamic DNS)

Dynamic DNS = The DNS you just created at DynDNS.Com

Internal IP = Your IP of the computer you are running the server on, This can be found by going to Start, then Run. Typing in CMD, once the Windows command Prompt opens type in "ipconfig". You will get a readout the one you are looking for is "Ip Address" it normally starts with 192.

External IP = You outbound ip assigned by your ISP. You can find this by visiting [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

1. Go to cmd and type in Ipconfig
2. Copy your Default Gateway Ip to your browser.
3. Go to Advance Settings and login. Or even it will say it. Find portforwarding anyway.
4. Add ports such as 3306... and add your listenport which is located in your server files in ACCServer - config.

Then your done.

I hope you all Enjoy non-hamachi hosted server,If you have problems, post in this thread! Thanks would be appreciated :P

....These guides seem to be getting harder and more ridiculous.

Telling noobs to edit their host files = FAIL.
You don't need to. Like...wtf?
"Dynamic" changes...so permanently adding IPs into your Hosts file is one useless, and two, what happens when your IP changes (internal and/or external).

The DynDNS service is nice..if you know how to use it/actually have use for it, but to portforward? Ya, no.

I know you're trying to help, but this has an elevated risk of noobs doing shit in the Windows directory...and even the Hosts file is not "noob safe".
In the end, [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] seems to be the most straightforward guide.

what this fucking part mean
CODE
127.0.0.1 (Dynamic DNS)
(Internal IP) (Dynamic DNS)
(External IP) (Dynamic DNS)

what i should be do in this part can you explain it with more simple.

lmao what good is this guide ? It isn't going to change all there clients server.dats to your new dynamic ip each time so it is useless geezus why do you guys make it so hard..Ohh nevermind because none of you have a clue wtf your doin i forgot:rolleyes:

ALL that is required is some common sense and some coding ability ( which 99% of you using binarys/lotf don't have anyway and shouldn't even be trying to run a server. )

Make your own autopatch.exe or play.exe whichever you prefer and have it automatically download + update server.dat everytime ip changes lol

There was 1 allready released for lotf here on epvp if you search for it and rather then anyone learning from it and making there own they just leeched it like lazy fkers and now can't use it on TQ binary and are too stupid to code there own to change the new server.dat for the binary when ip changes.

People are on himachi for a reason and that is because the ones using it are too ignorant to be running a server anyway and deserve to be stuck on it.

Thank you for leaving credits, Im only in EO PServer Hosting section. Didn't know this would be posted here aswel. And as for Tw3ak, no it will not change everytime because you need to have an ADSL[prefered] so it won't change IP everytime. And don't unplug or turn of the ADSL so it won't change. This is for those who host in there computers, and for those that have Dedicated/VPS they don't need to.

NOTE: I will post a guide with screen shots or a video guide as soon as possible, this guide was based for EO servers but Im sure it can be succesfuly done with CO servers too. I have tested this guide with WoW servers, Dekaron and alot more games.

Thanks,
DiobloSlayeR

all those things will not make non hamachi... you need an autoupdate for the shell.ini and a launcher for the clients to refresh IP in client.. and last u need to porforwarding the 3 ports. I had non hamachi before with ShadowCO source and it work same way!
03/25/2009 15:53 farsidekiller#12
Hey tweak is this one of the way to make it non hamchi?
-open config in gamefolder
-copy the gameserver port
-portforward it
i did that and it works for me,Just wanted to verify if thats one of the way that can be used
03/26/2009 13:09 BloofyGirl#13
Steph post a link for auto updater that helps to update shell.ini

well.. there is no auto updater for shell.ini actually. The only one is EO one and it makes shell.dat and not shell.ini.
03/26/2009 20:51 BloofyGirl#15
Thank you Steph for the clarification
