Decompile and Compile lua files

I'm looking for someone that can help me to decompile and compile lua files, i'm trying to modify the files inside the .kom files

Notepad++ and look for lua Tuts or sth like that.

That's as far as I've got too. Not sure if the decryption isn't enough or what. I've tried finding decrypting programs but I don't think it would be much use.
