SJSro DirectX bug

My friend got a bug that he needs DirectX 9.0b,
HE TRIED RUN AS ADMIN, HE HAS VISTA.
Its not his antivirus cos he tried that too, he tried reinstalling, so the only way to fix this bug is to install DirectX 9.0b...
He tried to do that and he got this bug:
Directx setup has determined that a newer version of direct x is already installed. no installation was necessary
Anyone know how to install an older version?

EDIT: Aghhh nvm my friend fails at using the Search button xD

erm actually i had the ssame problem before...
i dont know how to fix it...i just turn to window xp cause vista cant support ecsrp,sjsro,mysro i think...ive done all the necessary thing...last resort is changing to win xp..

I know what you have to do, right click on it -> last option -> compability -> [V] -> SERVICE PACK 2 XP or something.. THEN IT SHOULD WORK

you have to do this and run as administrator, problems should be solved!
