Bypassing school proxy

I've used the search function and can't find anything relating specifically to my issue, so I'll just go ahead and make a new topic.

I'm a student and currently the only internet access I have is through my schools network. Problem is they use a http proxy :( (I think) It only allows traffic through port 8080.

Is there anyway to get around this? Or maybe configure silkroad to run through the proxy?
Please help.

Sorry I can't help you there, If you ran SRO using a HTTP/SOCKS4/5 Proxy it would be terribly slow, that's if you can find one that would accept the connection, that won't be the way, you have to " crack " the protection to allow any type of connection, I'm sure there is someone here that knows :)

~Error.

Well thx for the feedback. I'm not really sure if i wanna try to crack my school's proxy. The bastards would probably fine me or something if I got caught...:p

Erm, if he's a student in college, why shouldn't he play SRO?
College life should be all about: Booze, Sex, SRO. ^_^

orrk.net is working for me perfect but how can it help us to open sro ports? Silkroad was working for me until they blocked it yesterday -_-

I'm not really playing "in school". They accomodate us on campus and provide "free" internet (to do schoolwork of course ;)).
I have found a program called yourfreedom. Its a program that routes traffic through the yourfreedom servers, bypassing the proxy. Problem with it is that the free version is capped at 64K. Which is just barely faster than dialup and lags badly...:(

i just saw a webpage where it can check your available ports, then i guess that u put that port in ur loader xD

try using this site to scan for open ports

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

then try changeing the port number in loader to an open port
