ok
how come we don't have the quality detection for non-weapons... what is stopping us?
is anyone even working on it?
can't we just gather one database where people report all qualities as itemtypes or whatever and we can develop detectors from that growing database?

another thing:
wallhacks, I know its serverside but how do they work?

in my mind, this is how they work:
1) your cords are (1,1), wall is at (2,0) and point you want to jump to is (3,1)
2) you click on (3,1)
3) server asks for your position (?)
4) your computer sends (1,1) (?)
5) server says invalid and tells your computer to poop off
6) your sad

what if you replace step 4 with a false coordinate thats valid over the wall like (3,2). then the server would say its a valid jump
I think im really wrong on this but who cares, just something I thought

With the Item Types,
The Server doesn't send the Client the quality of the item until you pick it up, so you can't see the quality of the item on the ground.
This of course is in exception to weapons, as they have colors for their quality, so the Server sends the Client the quality for weapons but for nothing else.

So there is no way to see the quality of items on the ground.
/End Discussion.

Before, the Server send the Client the quality of all items when they dropped from monsters. So you could just add [Refined] or [Elite] in front of the item name in the Itemtype.dat file, and it would show as that.

No idea on walljumps.

The following is my own thoughts ,ddnt try it really

about the quality detector i think it should work again ,and may be very soon

about the wall jump it exactly like u though except at War the server also checks the Gate state if open then u go throw if not then u stuck out ,so if u wanna do the jump u have to make a proxy that receives the Coming packet and push the open state to the client that u will go throw the gate even it is closed

i think that might be wrong because if i have a quality let's say Unique item and i dropped it then i should see the quality name as my client already got the item ID including the quality number but that doesnt happen so i think it's all about new IDs and icons dont know that for sure but i will try to figure that out soon

wow youre sure?
then that would be easy to make

I was thinking more along the lines of your client sends back your cords, not if the gate is open, because before we could jump walls (not just gates) if the gate was even closed

although you have to manipulate packets and stuff.
