Create your own multiclient with ONE click!

03/06/2009 15:27 Lurker3#1
I got sick of making multiclients for friends when I dont play CO anymore. In light of this, I have created the below program to allow anyone to patch their own Conquer.exe every time CO releases an update.

First run:
1) Unzip & Run (there is no installer, if you get an error then your missing .net 3.5 - goto [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and get it!)
2) Click the [...] to right of Source and select Conquer.exe from CO folder
3) Click the [...] to right of Destination and select the folder multiclient should save to (can be the CO folder too)
4) Tick the multiclient and/or pop-up boxes to patch those
5) Click "Create Multiclient"

On future uses:
1) Click "Create Multiclient" (it remembers your settings)

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

There ya' go... Now you dont need to come here to download a multiclient that someone coulda injected with a virus/trojan every time CO decides to change something :)

Vista Note:
Run it as administrator or you cant edit files in another programs folder (COs)!

* L3_Multi.zip (The program to make your own multiclients in one click)
* Form1.zip (The sourcecode incase you can code and dont trust the download. GUI not included... dont be even more lazy!)

I have a question. I want wall jump (not GuildWar Wall) How can i get that in my multi?
I like being able to jump the wall at BI and a few places so if possible could you tell me how to do that on my own?

WOW so easy, THANKS that has to be the easiest multi I ever made lol

It will work for all patches of CO where the multi can be patched by replacing "English" with another string, so yeah - unless Conquer.exe gets compressed (which is very rare).

The patches this makes can replace all the hassle of coming here to get exe's other people make and that might contain trojans/virii, for this current version and probably alot of future versions of Conquer.exe

I've not checked and Im not really active here anymore as I dont play CO. If its a simple find/replace like multiclient & anti-popup then someone might update my program if they read this.

Thats why I always give away sourcecode to things - so people can learn or do little changes / updates :)

Yes ([Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]).
Sourcecode is in Form1.zip with inline comments saying what each part does incase anyone wants to learn from it or do updates / add patch locations.

If you find the program useful then please bump the thread so that others may find it instead of having to come here for new multi's every time CO patches it.

When I have the time, a friend has asked for a much more advanced program... a type of scripted package installer that would work for all programs - not just CO. The "package installer" would keep a list of all the original files and file data changed and allow packages/edits to be swapped in/out at will. It would also be able to keep track of "external" changes which would spot updates and allow re-apply of packages. This would work for multiclient edits, itemtypes, artwork edits, etc

Judging by your posts on other threads also saying you cant unzip with the same error messages, I'd advise fixing your zip program.

Maybe try downloading [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] or some other zip program if your using the windowsXP one as whatever you are using seems to be damaged.

This ZIP file has been tested by myself and the other people who can download and unpack it fine.

Alternatives you could search for may be:
* UltimateZip
* WinZip
* WinRar
...Im sure you can google zip/unzip programs if you dont wanna use [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] though ;)
