Ok so i want it so that when someone runs the patch itll delete folders out and then add the new ones , not just replace because something gets messep up when dealing with .dnps , ty
I'm sure winrar allows this, if not you can write a batch file, then include this into your patch then finnaly have your patch run the batch file upon completingQuote:

cd FOLDERNAME\DestinationName\ deltree if you are deleting a whole folder, del if you are deleting a file. exit
cd \sound del 1004.wav cd ..\music del 1000-1.mp3 cd ..\ del delete.bat exit
cd debug del *.txt del *.log cd ..\ del delete.bat
i recreated the paladin3 wings thats why i need the dnps replacedQuote:
interms of files not being updated, ild look at UAC as your problem here, i recall facing many issues with this..
as for dnps, while files exactly are you toying with? ild hope you're not planning on deleting someones data/c3.dnp and replacing it, that would be one patch i would be none too impressed with doing..
as stated here, batchfiles to delete things, i personally have done this a few times.
if you're purely trying to remove a file because UAC is blocking the overwriting, you need to look at your client environment first as clearly that could be improved and provide you without a need to take other actions.
derailing a tad here..
overall, if the patcher isnt working how you want it to work, you're r welcome to rebuild the patcher into something decent ... the use of SFX archives is rather sad on TQs part, if you look back when celeb was added? there was a reasonably small patch for the maps and all. this was due to them using a SFX rar, which then ran a SFX 7zip.
the daisy chaining of SFX's like this is asking for trouble really..
also, bitwise patchers would be nice :3 of course they involve a lot of work, even not many MMOs use bitwise still.. FAR more easy to just replace thing..
